Beta Testers and.............Bribes?

Featured Replies

I guess people forgot that PMDG is now based in Washington and RSR neighbor works for the NSA.... For those people that approached the beta team with ideas they would crumble.... It was nice knowing you all.... LMAO.... Some things never shock me, except how quiet the Boeing 787 and the fact I am still without a coffee cake recipe. RSR is going to ban me for continuing my onslaught of request for coffee cake. Sorry, but I think this could be the next Cronut.... :)

The guy just was curios. We all are, and it is human nature. The mods on Avsim can go a little overboard sometimes. I know that since the 777 is near, more moderator effort might be needed, but this is a little much.

SpiritFlyer, banning that guy was wrong.

Don't jump the gun here, he has not been banned as of this post.

SpiritFlyer, banning that guy was wrong.  Somebody needs to just call it wrong, because that's what it is.   I thought Avsim and it's staff were bigger and better than this kind of heartless squashing of people for reasons that were so ephemeral nobody could even figure out who it was that got the axe.   Frankly, hours later, I'm still so offended by the heavy-handedness of your "moderation" that I still can hardly believe it, and just had to come back and speak out against it in protest.

Eh, did anybody even get banned at all? Looking at his post, unless I missed something, it looked like it was being considered, but it doesn't look like it's happened yet.

He hasn't been banned and won't be for this. So, those that are fulminating about this based on a banning of the OP, please stand down. It didn't happen.

However, let me tell you why we reacted to this the way we did... Bribery is not a joke. It happens, we have seen it and we continue to see it all to frequently. We have banned two people just in the last week for this type of thing, or attempts at it. If you want your hobby corrupted, just do a "wink wink nod nod" and let the jokes, humor, wit, whatever you want to call it, fly. This is not a joking matter folks, and if you dismiss our sensitivity to it as being over bearing, over the top, whatever, get over it and don't let the door hit you on the butt on the way out. It is a subject that does not deserve to be dismissed, and we won't allow it to be.
