September 1, 201312 yr I just want to thank Captain Randazzo and the entire PMDG team on an incredible job. I have had the 737NGX software since it was released but haven't started using it till lately. I have FTX Global with UTX and TrackIR 5 and EZDOK loaded. I am having a ball. It's incredible. We have come so far in this hobby thanks to you and your team and a host of other developers. But the realism your software brings to the sim world has no equal. I am building a full scale 737 from actual aircraft parts. But it will be a few years before it is operational. In the meantime I will be enjoying your work immensely. September 1, 201312 yr I totally agree. Now wouldn't it be nice if PMDG developed a successor to FSX somewhere down the road? I know this would be an astronomical task, but one look at their products tells you they are second to none. Maybe the recent Wall Street Journal article will increase their exposure to the world and lead in the direction of a new simulator. I know the flight simming world would not be the same without them and I will continue to be a proud PMDG supporter in whatever direction they take us. Chris Sunseri

I'm just horrified of the time needed for the developing and testing of the software :LMAO: Joona Väisänen
September 1, 201312 yr That's true and I think the wait would be well worth it. It would probably take a good 3 to 5 years to develop, but the quality would be out of this world. Even if it never happened, the aircraft they're producing now is enough to satisfy my flight simming thrill. Chris Sunseri
September 1, 201312 yr PMDG has experience building aircraft, but certainly not a whole new engine and sim. Could they even do it? Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory. The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire. To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune. There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you. It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.
September 1, 201312 yr PMDG has taken my interest in flight simming to a completely different level, and I'm 45 and have been dabbling in sims since SubLogic's on my Commodore 64. Before, I'd make a flight here and there, and had never heard of SIDS, STARS, and an FMC. Now I try to simulate procedures, I am constantly downloading charts, checking out flightaware for interesting destinations, plus getting apps for my phone, including listening to live atc (and now actually understanding what they are saying). Plus, I have purchased hundreds of dollars of add-ons I would have never purchased, but for PMDG. And as much as I love the NGX, and fly it a majority of the time, it has spawned an interest in quality 3rd party aircraft. I cannot say enough about PMDG, but as much as I enjoy and anticipate their planes, it has, I'm sure, benefited the community's other developers as well.
