Thanks to those on this thread I upgraded my GEX and I have to say you were right. Mountains and valleys like fotoreal compared to what I had before, the eye candy is 100% better with more houses and things to see on the ground. Night lighting seems to be better, but dont fly much at night so not sure, but during the day WOW, I always had GEX REX UTX FSgenesis and so on, but just a little upgrade and putting the autogen over to max has made this a whole new sim. Thanks for the thread and thanks to GEX, now to go buy Europe and check out Innusbrug. If it is like this then I will be one very happy little chappy and if the framerates stay as high as here then I will be doubly happy.

Well I just purchased the middle east/africa combo and received the auto upgrade for Europe and USA

 

what can I say, Im gob smacked at the performance and Dubai? just wow!  I flew into dubai this morning and flew in again with GEX lol what a difference that makes.

 

Doing low passes over Dubai in the pmdg 737 banking hard with full power and FPS trying to break through 30 locked and spikes to 40

ALL SLIDERS 100% I52500K oc4.4ghz and gtx560ti

ps I also own all of ORBX regions but not Africa and middle east and there is no east coast USA

all sliders 100%, hell I cant do that and still fly.

But at least I have broadened my flight area from PNW and Bluesky CA to wherever GEX extends to. I will look at the those other regions when money allows.

Flying the B200 into some airports was just unflyable on my system and am just happy that I have new default scenery area to fly around in without going to a newer faster system. Are all sliders to the right what GEX rekomends? I thought max auotgen and only Dense on scenery?

 I dont use AI traffic as I fly with others in multiplayer...LOD_RADIUS=4.500000 and I use FSrealWX, FEX, and 4096 textures,

PIC007 - Glad to hear your having success with GEX etc.   Have you tried using any 3rd party airports like FSDT - KORD or KLAX and let us know your FPS there?

 

Here is why - I had GEX and now have Global and I always get a solid 30 FPS in any area either on the ground or in the air - EXCEPT - at high quality payware airports I can get as low as 15.

Tony, I never even thought of that, tks for reminding me. The only addon airport I have is Fly Tampa KBOS so I checked there. In exterior view at default zoom it was the same, about 28-29 FPS, if I went out to max zoom looking towards downtown BOS then it did drop to around 25, and thats using a HD 757 repaint...cockpit view was rock solid though.

 

Perviously I used to get 15-22 FPS with autogen set to DENSE so thats also a huge improvement.

Zoran, check out Innsbrug LOWI and fly up the valley iether way. Really something to see, summer textures with so much color and ofcourse my favorites, mountains and valleys galore. I am also thinking about middle east/africa combo as I have been to Dubai on holidays, the Burj al Arab 7 star hotel was just fantastik, I even saw the king of Spain during lunch. The buggers bodygaurds wouldnt let us near the windows in the restaraunt to take foto's till he had eaten and left. Rich poeple!!!........Can you post some screenshots?
