With the release of PMDG's 777 immanent, I thought it'd be a good time to get this topic going. 

 

With a mid week release likely, the chances are most of us will only get a few hours to play with the T7 before the weekend arrives, so I thought it'd be a good idea to post some real world flightplans for those of you who like to do things by the book. 

 

I appreciate some people will want to fly between their two favourite airports whether it's a 777 route or not and others will use the time acceleration feature to make those 6000 mile journeys a little bit more bearable. That's great, but for me, I like to fly a real route in real time. 

 

Anyway, here a few trips that have court my eye over the last week. Some of them maybe regular LR/F flights and others maybe a last minute aircraft change or one off cargo routes.

I think there are enough flight plan sources out there that we've graduated from threads like this.

 

(Not to be a complete jerk or anything...it's a common mistake to assume all flight plans are the same day after day...)

Yeah, the routes change a fair bit Sam, but good effort, I guess it helps those looking to quickly jump in and fly on release.

That's true...there I go with my typical sarcastic "shoot first and ask questions later..."

Now that I look back, a lot of them are shorter routes, too, which don't change much.

Correct, they do, that's why the topic is intended for users to get them to the weekend.

 

Most of these are from Saturday-Today. The AIRAC is still current and the chances are, similar routes will be flown on the shorter sectors up until the weekend.

 

If you don't want to use them, fantastic, but I'm sure some users will - I see enough people online flying with either incorrect routes or outdated real world plans.

 

EDIT - And if all else fails, it gives you an idea of some of the routes operated by the B77L.

Well, to be fair, not all of them do, at least not on a regular basis. YYZ-LGA-YYZ for Air Canada is a company route that is always the same (flightaware will prove this). There are many others.

 

And this thread might be worthwhile to see on what routes (i.e. city pairs) the 77L is operated in real world aviation.

True - this is also because of the preferred routes in and out of the NY area.  I alluded to that above, too.
