Autopilot disconnect alarm

Featured Replies

Anyone having issues with not being able to silence the autopilot disconnect alarm. It won't shut off...

Try to double click on A/P disconnect in the yoke... Is the real method in the 777 ;)

OR In the PMDG Options in the FMC-  or in PMDG Operation center you can disable the warning to shut off when you press the cancel button.

In your FMS, go to PMDG Setup->Aircraft->Equipment. Use 'NEXT PAGE' or 'PREV PAGE' to go to WARNING SYS page [9/9], and set 'RESETTABLE SIREN' to 'YES.'

Cheers,

You can also use the clickspot here :

- right click once : disengage A/P

- right click second time : shut off the siren

- middle click (mousewheel) : disengage A/T

- middle click second time : shut off siren

Even better - assign keys to both AT and AP disconnect in Keyboard in the FMS. Double click and no more alarm!

Best regards,

Robin.

I've got the key bound to a joystick button, took several pushes (maybe 15 seconds) before the alarm stopped.

Ok, I thought the main button next to the AP panel worked in the real 777?

You have to wait for about one second after disconnecting the AP and before pushing the AP disengage switch a second time to stop the aural warning.

A fast double-click will not stop the siren.

I was using the standard PMDG livery, it has no airline options and that may be why I couldn't silence it.
