September 4, 201312 yr Have noticed that the EFIS panel is not operational on both the Pilot and Co-pilot sides despite the knobs, etc being clickable: 1) Unable to change map ranges 2) Unable to switch from one mode to another (i.e. map to plan or vor). 3) Cannot set barometric pressure or switch to STD 4) Will not switch to metric 5) Will not show airports, waypoints, etc. on NAV display Gary CYQM
September 4, 201312 yr Usually problems with clickspots is due to eyepoint being inside headrest or something. Try moving eyepoint. Dan Downs KCRP
September 4, 201312 yr I know from watching some of the Beta Team videos that a few of the knobs are implemented differently in the 777. Have you tried clicking and holding? John Sturm
September 4, 201312 yr Having similar issue trying to adjust range rings. I do understand the standard Baro setting must be set manually, unlike the 737 implementation. I will try moving up my viewpoint this evening. Regards, Bruce Riggs KDFW
September 5, 201312 yr If you cannot set EFIS settings on the EFIS panel, or DSP settings, it's likely because your FMC menu options for "EFIS CTL" and "DSP CTL" are set to "ON". You will find these options by clicking your MENU button on your FMC. See the EFIS CTL and DSP CTL options at LSK 1R and LSK 3R respectively. They need to be set to "OFF". December 22, 201510 yr What are EFIS CTL and EFIS DSP supposed to do? I understand they should be off but what changes when they are "on"? Eric Parker
December 22, 201510 yr Commercial Member What are EFIS CTL and EFIS DSP supposed to do? I understand they should be off but what changes when they are "on"? Full names in the forum, please - first and last. I'm guessing your user name is your real name, but the name needs to be in the post body or auto-signature. Who said they "should" be off? EFIS CTL is an EFIS ConTroL. It allows you to change what is displayed by the EFIS. EFIS DSP is the Display Select(ion) Panel. It allows you to select where the EFIS information will be displayed. The options on the CDU are simply a backup to the hardware buttons available over on the first officer's side, on the right side of the MCP. Kyle Rodgers
