777 Making Flatulent Noises

Okay, so I installed the Adobe Reader, Java and Real Player Updates, and have uninstalled the FS2Crew AXE Beta version, and the problem seems to have stopped, although the computer had been shut down and started up since the last time, so that might have also been it.

Is it possible that FS2Crew changed a default sound file that was being used?

I'll see if the problem has actually been solved or just that it's not happening this flight and report back if I find it happening again and what changed since the current set up.

It couldn't be similar to something like the Cargo Door issue where the key command was wrongly linked could it?

Just thinking of things off the top of my head here, I don't think I did anything different in the sim this time, other than loading the panel state from the previous flight instead of long turn.

Did you disconnect the ground carts as previously said?  Did the sound still persist after disconnecting them?

No, I just did it by removing the chocks like last time in case that was the thing causing it. I should point out, this noise only happened in the air.

Did the sound still persist in the air after disconnecting via the chocks?  If so, try disconnecting the carts via their direct LSKs; as opposed to the universal disconnect via the chocks.

I've never had your issue but I also disconnect carts via their LSKs - not via the chocks.

Well the sound isn't happening at the moment, so I can't tell, but yesterday I disconnected by chocks, and it happened, today I disconnected by chocks and it didn't, so to be honest I'm stumped.

We did model compressor stalls - could have been that. Did you see anything in the active failures list?

I can't remember if I looked or not. I had been playing with failures, and at one point had 4 failures (random), but none of them related to powerplant that I remember. I did check the gear synoptic to check the tire pressures, looking for a blow-out.

I do have service based failures enabled as well - is that sufficient to trigger this? I don't recall the engine parameters looking odd (I was still accelerating them to takeoff power at the time of the occurrence, which would be the exact time that kind of thing would occur).

Best regards,

Robin.

I have similar issue.

around 20 sec interval, "DING" sound is played again and again.

And I recored it.

My first "DING" sound experience was when I was appoaching. And the "DING" sound was played again and again until I ended flight.

Second was when I set up my FMC and I changed view mode.

Third one was same as second one.

DING... DING,,, DING ... sound... :(

When I use NGX, AIRBUS EXT, default aiplne, and other airplanes with same environment I never had heared this sound.

So I think this is about PMDG 777 problem.. 99% :)

It's obvious you have some Out of Memory issues.

Go read page 21-25 of the introduction manual!

That's Windows 7 telling you that you're getting extremely close to OOM.
