My FS machine is finished for the night at the minute, but I'll try and grab a recording of it tomorrow evening, or I might be able to get one in the morning depending on work...

At this moment the PMDG Sound Enginner is probably crazy searching all the files for the hidden flatulence

I recorded most of the sounds in the product, so I know them rather well

Nothing in the background I wouldn't say, I have OPUS FSX for weather, and AES and GSX for airport services, other than that I can't think of anything that'd interfere with it.

I've a feeling it might just be that it's interacting with another add-on or something like that. I have the NGX, JS41, AXE, FSL A320 and Concorde and the Majestic Q400 installed, they're all the add-on aircraft I have. I've plenty of sceneries, but I don't think the sound file could come from any of them. I don't have any background environment noise add-ons, so I'm stumped really...

No other windows are open other than OPUS and FSX when I'm running the sim.

Understand that you don't think there is anything, but tell us everything running on the machine.

Just thinking of anything that'd run when I log onto my computer, and the only things that'd run on startup are iTunes, Saitek Control Panel thing, My Crew Portal, java updater and the realplayer updater. I'll get a full list of processes tomorrow when I'm on my FS computer.

Best thing would be to get a recording of it.

During one of my many takeoffs today I heard a very loud bang just after I started rolling - it was like I hit something or blew out a tire (but checking, there was nothing). I aborted the takeoff as a result. I know the nose-wheel makes a thump during the ground roll but this was much louder than normal.

Best regards,

Robin.

Are any of the updaters saying you have updates? Make sure everything is exited and off and then try again.

I also get a sound that I don't think is supposed to be there, and it resets when switching to external view and back just like yours! If I pause and unpause FSX the sound comes back on again...

Sounds like a truck or something, and it's a looping sound, and it's loud!! Would prefer to not have it..

We did model compressor stalls - could have been that. Did you see anything in the active failures list?

What are your sound settings in the FMC. Sounds like you have something turned up.

Yeh, they say I have updates, but they've been saying that for years... I'm guessing I should probably update them at this stage...  :(

Yes, that seems kinda like the issue I'm having. Does it sounds kinda like a really distorted exhaust from a truck or something? Kinda like Pffrrrffft?

I forgot to mention, I also have FS2Crew for the NGX, Emergency NGX, RAAS, and a Beta Testing Version of FS2Crew for the AXE.
