"No autoland" eicas message

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I am receiving "No Autoland" eicas message.

ILS frequency is enetered on FMS-CDU NAV RADIO and both are displayed on captan's and first officer NDs.

What can be the problem? I checked the manual but could't find what is the reason.

FCOMv2 pg 4.30.1 Approach is selected but not engaged by 600 ft AGL. Verify that FSX frequency is not out of date. Also, by 600 ft AGL you must be on a stablized approach in landing configuration.

Thanks.

How can I  verify that FSX frequency is not out of date?

By 600 AGL I was fully stabilized on approach in landing config.

Bring up the FSX map, click on the airport and it will open a list of runways and freqs.

Hi Dan,

I checked FSX rw frequency and it is up to date. I tryed on other airport and this icas message appeared again.

Can it be related to cold and dark problem?

What Dan said, but compare this to either the nav data in the PMDG > NAVDATA folder (couldn't tell you which file, though, I don't mess around in there too much), or a current version of the chart for the approach you were flying.

Yes.  Take a look at the error tracking thread pinned in this forum.

Kyle Rodgers

I experienced the same behavior at my first flight when I tried Cold and Dark state. For the rest of flights I used Long state and didn't experienced that problem anymore.

Fortunately, it's so easy to hand fly it I'm yet to try autoland.

Thanks guys!

This caused by cold and dark start up.

Not only ils/crs should be deleted in fmc nav/rad but also vor freq.

After deleting these values, new automatically set.

No more this annoying eicas message. :P

I have just received a reply from Ryan where I mentioned this, it is a known bug for the next fix :-)

There is another question where do i find navigation radio in 777?

On the FMC NAV/RAD page (no separate tuning windows & dials as on other aircraft like theNGX or 767)
