FSX freeze just before nose wheel contacts ground.

Featured Replies

sorry for my pooer English.

When landing,

After main gears contact ground, and just before nose wheel contacts ground, my FSX is freezed around 1 second. (or 0.5 ~ 1 second)

After the freeze, nose wheel contacts ground and FSX plays the squeal effect sound of PMDG.

This appears only first landing after running FSX.

second, third landings don't appear.

Anyone have same issue?

I guess, the squeal effect sound is the reason.

When nose wheel contact, FSX loads the sound file, and freezed temporarily.

Maybe the sound file is too big or not loaded up on PC memory before... ETC..

Anyone have same issue? See my movie. Freezed at 14 second.

Something seems to be loading right at touchdown. What else do you have running on your machine?

WOW.. What's with the bumpy landing ? Blow the nose gear tire or something ??? I have yet to have a landing half that bumpy.. I did not see much of a freeze either.. Maybe a little stutter but thats not a big deal..

It's pausing to load the audio. Cheap sound cards hog the bus which is why this happens. Get a PCI sound card.

Best regards,

Robin.

Well. I am just typical FS user.

I use GSX, FSpassengers, REX, RAAS. My hardware is X-52 and saitek pedal. Simple..

Thanks. I am using PCI sound card, not mainboard sound. But maybe my PCI sound card is not good...

Pos?

What is it? Something else?

POS in north american stands for piece of [expletive] haha.  I've never heard of that brand of electronic before.  Maybe it isn't a very good card?

I think I too get the stutter and run from my onboard sound.  I can live with it.

I kinda have the same problem as you, but mine freeze when the rear landing gear touch the runway <_<
