November 15, 200421 yr Has anyone watched the video '... Interview with the MSFS Team' that is on the main AVSIM page? Does it give us any insight or info that most of us don't know? Anything of FS2006 (wishful thinking, eh?)RH
November 16, 200421 yr Nope, nothing new really but no one said there would be.. It's just handycam footage by a reporter with an insane laughter interviewing some of the FS team in their office and chatting about previous versions of FS.All interesting in it
November 16, 200421 yr old news, really old news.I found that video link over 2 months ago CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro | GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K
November 16, 200421 yr If you're a coder and already understand the complexity of MSFS then this would be a refresher for you. But, if you have never had the opportunity to have that complexity expertly explained then this could be an introduction for you. I've used MSFS since 1984?? or longer and this video, about 30 mins long, opened my eyes to the sheer amount of labor involved. It's worth watching.Glenn"If God would have wanted man to fly He would have given him more money"
November 16, 200421 yr To me, the key fact is that the FS team is well, alive, and working on further enhancements... kind of puts the notion to rest that MS is not interested in continued development of this title :-) Bert
November 16, 200421 yr The video is well worth a look. It's always nice to see the real people behind the veil of secrecy... FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
November 17, 200421 yr There was some mention of the next version by one of the QA people. He said that of all the aircraft represented in the book collection above his desk that there "might or might not be some or none of the aircraft in those books being developed for the next version".Everything else aside, and even though it is "old news" I found it to be very good viewing. There are actually two parts to the deal, one is 41 minutes and the other is around 12 which is strictly an interview with the head of the FS developement team. Alas, no one has mentioned the fact that the only "enthusiast" site mentioned in the entire interview was good ol AVSIM. Nuff Said..
November 18, 200421 yr >Has anyone watched the video '... Interview with the MSFS>Team' that is on the main AVSIM page? Does it give us any>insight or info that most of us don't know? Anything of>FS2006 (wishful thinking, eh?)>>RH>I noticed one thing, the 'Adam Szofran' interviewed in the piece (if he's the same person) has a role with the many add-ons we use now. He was the original developer of what is now called FSUIPC which is used by so many FS add-ons now. He's mentioned on the Avsim honor roll pagehttp://www.avsim.com/pages/honors.htmRegards.Ernie
November 18, 200421 yr Another, somewhat faster way to get a flavor for the MSFS team and way it operates is to read the article on the following web-page:http://www.microsoft.com/games/flightsimul...es_makingof.asp Bert
November 19, 200421 yr Author Thanks guys for the feedback. I have been trying to watch it but keep getting a "Windows Media Player cannot perform the requested action at this time" statement everytime I try to watch it. RH
