PFPX via network?

Featured Replies

Hey there,

THinking of getting PFPX but wondered if licensing allows it the option to also be installed to a second computer?

I like the idea of having it on my laptop while I fly the desktop but setting up a network has been kind of confusing.

Is it designed for networking?

Thanks,

If I remember correctly during installation you can chose if you want to network it or not. I didn't really pay attention to that part though because I didn't have any plans to network it in the near future.

Hello

I have it on my 2nd computer . What you need first is of course 2 networked computers . Then install it on the pc You want . when you install it there is no need to change the network settings because its for something else . After installing identify the path's of several folders( like the pmdg folder for when you need to export a route ) which is very easy as long as you have networked and mapped the hardrive fsx is using

With all due respect, I think probably the easiest way for all of us would be for you to Google something like "how to set up a home windows network" and follow some of the guides/tutorials on there.  I'd be more than happy to answer more specific questions you have from trying that out first.  Right now, there's just too much to have to explain without writing a tutorial myself.
