I Can't Get Enough - The B-777

Featured Replies

Over my career, I have literally hundreds of hours as a passenger on various T7 flights. Mostly UAL, but others as well. One of my biggest disappointments was when, for the most part, 747's were removed from the trans Atlantic legs in favor of the T7. That was my initial reaction. After flying a couple of R/T's with UAL to EGLL, EDFF and other European locations, I got to love the beast. Rob and guys captured the "feel" of the T7 from my perspective and I have spent most of my free time trying to gain some hours in her. Here are shots from the last day or two.

FEDEX departing Nice, France bound for EGKK

Over the southern mountains

Rich's tremendous AA livery departing SFO, heading south for KLAX on a ferrying flight

Over the valley being vectored for landing

Tom,

have to agree sir - I logged close to a 100 flight hours since the 03rd of September when she was released.  In the evenings after work and weekends, this has become my only entertainment!

Kind regards

Please don't call me sir. Before retiring, I actually worked for a living.

And 100 hours???? Man oh man... I would be one foot in the grave if I spent that much time sitting on my butt. :O

Hahaha, my apologies Tom!

No I left the flying to my very capable "relief crew" (read A/P) whilst I just checked in now and then - gives me the opportunity to get to all the things I was supposed to do during the week but didn't, especially since it has that wonderful feature of auto step climb programmed into it  .

Kind regards.

Glad You like it Tom. I enjoy it very much too and have not flown anything else since release. Bought the A2A 172 2 hours before the 777 release but still have to take it on its maiden flight.

Didn't make it in time for the contest, but here's mine with CordoganAir livery taking off from Ft. Myers at sunset.
