Why is AA so poor in DX10

Featured Replies

I've tried DX10 but one thing I've noticed is how bad the AA is even with steve's scenery fixer set at 32x it doesn't compare to DX9 and nvida inspector.

Is there a way to force my NI settings into DX10?

I didn't know that the DX10 Fixer does any changes to your nVidia profile. I think you've to do it by your own with nVidia Inspector, isn't it?

AntiAliasing works just fine in DX10. Do you have it enabled via the checkbox in FSX? Your AA is then set with the DX10SceneryFixer and Nvidia Inspector for Transparency Supersampling.

8x and 8SGSS looks better than dc9.

There's something you're not doing correctly.

I'm lost, this is bad DX10 AA?

What photoscenery do you have there for Nevada? MSE V2?

Yes sir.  Airport is FSDT Las Vegas McCarran.

FYI, my screenshots are 2560 x 1600 - so make sure you view them 100% (actual size) otherwise your browser will "adjust" and possibly make the images look worse.

I have the same issue, but on an ATI card. I have AA enabled in FSX, as well as in Steve's Fixer tool (8x), but it can't hold a candle to the effect I had in DX9 using the ATI CC tool.

Any pointers much appreciated!
