October 13, 201312 yr Just a heads up, World of AI flightplans have been released in the AVSIM library for none other than ALL four of the biggest U.S. Airlines, with SUMMER 2013 schedules! This is incredible news, because not too long ago there was talk WOAI was shutting down. For you folks tired of seeing the old Northwest liveries in your AI skies, or are missing out on seeing the new American colors, you are now in luck. WOAI had been on the decline for the past few years, as it appears to be a difficult task to compile the program that auto installs the paints and models and merges them with the flightplans. It was mainly because of the slow release schedule a few years ago that I gave up and learned to install user flightplans and paints myself, bypassing the need for WOAI. But I know there are folks who don't have the time or inclination to manually download and install the hundreds upon hundreds of paints and plans, so this is big big news for them. Not only are the paints up to date with what you see IRL, there are brand new FSX (and FS9) native models that look just like user flyable addons! I dare you to distinguish between the new FAIB 737NGs and Airbus narrowbodies, the FAIB Airbuses look more real than the ole Wilco flyable payware models! Hope you all enjoy, because as a long time "AI hobbyist", I'm happy to see the work from the talented developers who constantly contribute to the freeware AI scene share their fruits with masses. WOAI was pretty much dead these past few years, but there always a vibrant AI community working in the shadows of the flight sim world that always offered the latest and greatest paints and flightplans, it just required a lot of time and effort from the end user to install into their sim. The AI scene is enjoying a major resurgence now, with brand new FSX native models from the likes of FAIB and United Traffic Team. I hope the new WOAI packages inspire new users to take up this little "sub hobby" and start to populate their skies with non WOAI flightplans, because it's really not as hard as some may think. You may become quite addicted, I know I have been! A.J. Domingo

October 13, 201312 yr So if flying around Europe, ill see Easyjet, Ryanair, thomas cook, FlyBE, Jet2 liverys?? Sure and many others more if desired. Every airline can be installed separately.
October 13, 201312 yr Author Just about every airline out there, both mainstream and the most obscure, is most likely available as a downloadable flightplan. Some good sources, the AVSIM library of course, but you will find many plans not available there at sites like Alpha India or United Traffic Team. You just need to compile the install the base models and paints in your simobjects folder, and compile the text files of the flightplans in an app called TTOOLS. It takes some patience, and practice, but once you get the hang of it you will no longer be at the mercy of WOAI waiting for the latest release. In these past few years, I have always had the latest and greatest plans installed for all the major airlines, and none of them were available on WOAI. Here is the link to the WOAI page where you can retrieve the "self-installer" plans: http://www.world-of-ai.com/packages.php A.J. Domingo
