MAXXimizing the looks of X-Plane 10 :-)

I just took off from the water-drome of North Bay, Ontario, Canada with custom scenery from the .org and your Parks and Plaza  texture set.  Does it EVER LOOK GOOD! This one is great for rural, lake scape, etc.  Really compliments custom scenery as well as OSM.

Wow....

Flying an amphib in Xplane is just...well...BLISS!

Heading north along the lake-shore...and who know's where I'll end up this morning.  Having a blast, as usual!

Post Edit:  This part of Xplane (my opinion) is one of the most beautifully realistic and rendered.  If you fly out of North Bay, and then keep VFR as you fly north along Lake Huron with Highway 17 in view, this is one of Xplane's absolute gems.

Have your Texture Resolution at VERY HIGH , crank up trees to Filled IN or Overgrown, World Detail Distance to Medium or better, Water at full out, (for Xplane gives the most realistic look of a water body yet on the planet...) and get ready for some truly eye-popping realism. Again...this area of Xplane (North Bay and Lake Huron) really shows what this platform can do....and even better if you dropped some coin down on a good 3rd Party float and/or amphibian.  I am flying the Carenado work horse...and it is very well done.

Post Edit (in flight...) 2:  BTW John, your texture set (great asking price for what it brings to Xplane...) Parks, Plaza (the second one on your download page) REALLY brings the level of city, town, and village depiction to a most believable level.  As I head and over-fly Highway 17 out of North Bay along the Lake Huron lakeshore, you see your texture sets form the towns that line the highway...and THAT has brought my enjoyment level right up there.  In fact, no longer do I have the Xplane standard one or two house lined streets seemingly standing out of nowhere in particular...no...I now have those really good street textures forming a true populated urban area.  What I am flying over now...looks like a residential, city core, and parks and plaza effort.   This stuff is important to keep you immersed. Well done! I'm sure glad that jcomm gave that head's up. Your texture sets really...have removed my most major critique of Xplane. Populated areas..now really look the part!  :))))))))

Back to the flight....:)
