Deal breakers for YOU or THEM? I'm quite sure that they will join the party .... or be left behind. Move on. The 3pds have NO choice but to follow the market, or cut off their income stream because of their indecision.

Would be nice if the people over at Hi-Fi have thought of using Active Sky Next with P3D too.

Wouldn't mind sliding FSGenesis and UT2 in there either along with GEX and UTX.

I asked to Word Not Allowed about Active Sky Next whether they release P3d version or not. He's in beta team but I am not sure he's allowed to answer. I'll let you know if I get an answer.

This is from Active Sky Next's webpage:

Requirements:

  • Windows XP or later (Windows Vista, 7 and 8 compatible)
  • For Active Sky Next for FSX: Microsoft Flight Simulator X with SP2 or Acceleration

Already done.

HiFi were even beta testers for V2.

FSGenesis will already work out of the box (just change the install path) and they are partnered with Orbx as well, who are selling a total installer that includes FSGenesis mesh + Global for v2.

GEX and UTX are never going to work with P3D. If you want those kinds of products then buy FTX Global and Vector.

UT2 works in P3D and the developers don't forbid it through the EULA. So you can use it. They just offer no support. It's a bit of a pain to install though. With WOAI releasing new packages, I already switched back to them anyway. There new US airline packages with 2048 textures are brilliant.

Any word on EZDOK...otherwise it's a deal breaker for me.

Since that developer has been A-WOL for two years I wouldn't count on it.

Can't blame anyone but him for it not being updated. If you aren't willing to make the compromise (and it's not much of one as he's greatly improved the view system over the past year's updates) with OPUS then there's nothing that can be done.

Hm, no, you are mixing up FSGenesis with Pilot's FS Global: Pilot's are partnered with Orbx: a downloadable version of FS Global 2010 will be released soon. (Maybe FS Genesis will also work out of the box but that's another story.  ^_^ ) Apart from that, the FS Global mesh and FTX Global are and will be separate products: there won't be a total installer for both. FS Global simply has an Orbx logo on the downloadable version and it will work perfectly with FTX Global but that's it.

Yep.

But I'm still right about it working. FSGenesis does work fine with P3D. You just change the install path. I tried it with 1.4.

How does one go about installing WOAI packages into P3DV2? I'm quite interested in this.

Excellent...it should be released soon too!
