Sorry, I misunderstood what you were responding to. I'm VERY optimistic about P3D (probably a tad more than I should be). . . hopefully we end up with won't been much below my expectations.

I think, soon enough when the base sim has had an extreme makeover Orbx (full works) REX , and new effects, it will make the sim we see on Monday look like night and day again. Can't wait

 

I find it odd that people desperately try to see massive visual changes in the beta screenshots which is a bare bones sim with visual rendering changes and a new lighting system. (Which already excited me)

 

What I'd like to know is that when the new Orbx night lighting is used, or oven using the new P3D HDR lighting, whether the airports at night will have the same Wow factor as the Xplane 10 world does. The XP boys sure nailed that one.

 

Edit: The reference to XP is not intended to spark any comparative debate about sims.

The questions is, will P3D look similar.

I have a LOT of questions about Orbx, as I never used it with FSX (as my old PC could barely run FSX).  It looks like I'll want to be FTX, and the Orbx's Vector (or whatever it is called), and it's Mesh addon . . . which is going to cost more than I can afford right now.  So I'll be following all the Orbx/P3D posts.
