November 24, 201312 yr http://calclassic.proboards.com/thread/6270/flight-report-constellation-tribute-paris A very nice story, well illustrated with a little twist on the end. DO NOT SCROLL DOWN, scroll while you are reading it. Btw, its not mine, but would like to share it.
November 24, 201312 yr Very creative and well put together. Bet it brought back a lot of memories for Maxine. Best regards, Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! November 24, 201312 yr What a great story! Thanks for sharing it with us... CalClassics have given so much to the community. It's a shame more people would try retro operations - it can be a great experience... Cheers Ian
November 25, 201312 yr Yes, thank you for sharing that. It looks like a lot of work went into this and it shows. I can appreciate stuff like this and when it's done good, all the more better. Again, Thank you. jime James D. Edwards
November 25, 201312 yr This is great. No wonder I will soon re-activate my DC-6 for an atlantic trip (although not operating it within a historical environment but using it as vintage plane). Thanks for sharing this story! Harald Harald Geyer Gründer der Messerschmitt Freunde Dresden v. V.
November 25, 201312 yr SUPERB JOB there Captain... Great read... Yeah - I've always been meaning to load up a historic version of FS9 and give some of these propliners a try - just never got around to it... Maybe I should try to set some time aside to give it a shot... Looks like a more advanced Connie than I tried years ago - which bird is this ? How does it navigate across the ocean ? I guess that A2A B337 with accusim is the ultimate Propliner we have for FS9 - right ? Certainly not as pretty as the Connie... Regards, Scott
November 25, 201312 yr I assume that it is Manfred Jahns model "lockheed749.zip" in the library. It contains this very repaint of F-BAZF. And there is much more at www.calclassics.com. Before my DC-6 ages I used to fly FSDZigns L-049 model some years. I can remember quite some of the procedures described here... with exception of navigation. I have to admit that my vintage planes, flown in todays environment, are equipped with a simple GPS so that I can't help you with usage of the sextant. Sorry!
