December 20, 200421 yr 747-200 RFP is every bit as complex as this plane, but it uses a series of videos as well to get you up and started. Other companies should take note.RH
December 20, 200421 yr I agree with you. It's a pitty that other companies don't produce such videos it's an excelent intro to the manuals.Jos
December 20, 200421 yr If you want one why not make your own? Many folks provide videos as was done for the DF 737. It's not a bad thing if developers don't offer videos IMO. Developers take *note* of what they take note of, not simply because a person says they should..Best Wishes,[h4]Randy J. December 20, 200421 yr Josecould`nt agree more with you about how the manual/How to video would compliment each other and make the learning process less sterile.I actually bought the video for the DF 734 and it was good but did not replace the manual entirely due to scope. The one thing I`d like to see would be a video like this would be that it be downloadable as there were problems with formats in the video tape.I`d really like to see this happen and as long as the price was not through the roof I`d pay a little for it.I`d love to see Clayton Dopke take a crack at the DF727 as he was a 727 driver as well as a betatester on this addon and has produced videos prerelease. That would be so cool to see how it`s really done.Troy
December 20, 200421 yr Hello All, -- you too Troy, see what you have gotten me into? OK, I guess I could try to do one from 'cold and dark', but trust me, it will take awhile to put it all together -- as, in truth, I rarely do a 'cold and dark' strictly from a time viewpoint. By the time I get around to fly, I usually have less than 2 hrs where I can lock my office door, turn off the phone and do it. With my system, 3 computers, 6 monitors, it takes awhile just to set up FS, (the price you have to pay for all that good eye candy and programs), LOL, and someone is ALWAYS knocking on my office door -- even with a sign posted 'enter on threat of punishment by death'. So yes, Troy, there is a Santa Claus, , and I'll try to get it done shortly . . . but then, of course, LOL, I wouldn't be comfortable unless it was an AA livery, hehehe, (had to get my shameless plug in). Will try to start working on it this evening.BestClayhttp://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...ers/Dopke01.jpgClayton T. December 20, 200421 yr Hi ClayThat is just great Clay.Thank you very much for taking the time to do this.I`m sure there will be a lot of folks that will take an interest in this and appreciate your efforts.Take all the time that you need as being able to share in your expertise will be worth the wait. Will you do a voiceover explaining the flow?I hope so.Oh and as far as that AA livery there are a couple of guys that might do one and their bare metal texture looks good.See the metalmasters thread in the screenshot forum.I hope I did`nt tweak Paul`s tail too hard.I did`nt mean to.Thank You Troy
December 20, 200421 yr It should be noted (if it hasn't already) that the manual was/is available to anyone without purchasing. Many companies offer the manual so you have a better idea of how complex an addon is (or isn't). I would always recommend at least giving it a quick look before buying :) ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
December 20, 200421 yr Hi Clay,I always enjoy reading your posts... a real class act. FYI, there are already two AA repaints to choose from in the AVSIM library. I think they were both posted yesterday. Plus, according to the Dreamfleet forums, there's a beautiful early AA Astrojet rendition forthcoming! So enjoy!Ken
