Yes! Awesome news if you're asking me. The flight sim market is screaming for good A380 simulation, not Wilco, not freeware. This is much better news that the QW 737. Why? Because we have plenty of good 737 models to choose, modern or classic.

Current system: ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4, Intel 12900k, 32GB RAM @ 3600mhz, Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity, M2 SSD, Oculus Quest 2.

Hmm I have the Project Airbus A380 and the reviews of this bird are great.   If you want the one with the VC then check out rikooo but you will need the VasFMC standalone for the FMC.

Maybe you have it already :).

I jut saw this on ADX before coming on here. This is very welcome news! Roll on the A380 :)

Tried it, and I didn't like it. Worse FPS than AXE, lol. AXE ~35fps, PA A380 ~30fps. And VC looks, well, like freeware. So, tell me, why the performance of PA A380 is so bad? I will accept bad looking VC, and simpler systems, if the fps is like every other PA plane - on my system over 50-60fps.

You talking about the Flight model or the frame rates.

The PA 380 is actually converted from FS9 to FSX.

Have you checked simviation ? they have loads of PA stuff , though i am not sure if a new 380 has been added as I am still on the FSND C310Q only short hauls. I just fly the 380 for the fun of it and rarely. Maybe later I may fly her more often.

I'm talking about fps apparently,, as you can see I compared AXE and PA fps (frames per second) in VC. Far as I know, bunch of FS9 converted planes have an issue with fps in FSX. You can check that in simobject/PA A380 folder/model... if there is only one model file, that is FS9 converted model. FSX is using two models - interior model (VC) and exterior.

ok. Let me do a test flight later with the PA380 in FSX with all max settings and report it back here. stdby thinking of trying now ETA 10 mins.

The VC on the PA A380 is awful, no offence to the developer (I have been in the real thing) but it doesn't look anything like the real thing, the windows are way too big and the whole cockpit environment is just off.

Its great news NLS have decided to resume development of this awesome looking aircraft - I was very disappointed to read that they had cancelled all development and was hoping someone would pick this up and carry on.

I am getting a FPS of 29.8 (30 is locked) with an occasional drop but nothing bad I am using only NL2000 and HDE V2 clouds, this is at gate f9 EHAM with the default airport. I am using the PA Arrow Cargo 380 version, all my settings are ultra but water is high 1.x and no special effects and no ground shadows, no traffic as I fly only on vatsim.

my CCC AA is 4xEQ and Anistropic is again 4x.

Hey i am not comparing the paid with free one BTW it's only that there are good free stuff available, i would not even know which one is actually the realistic one as  I usually go on reviews.

hopefully I can bring an interview with the NLS team soon, stay tuned.

Good news indeed but from what it sounds like they're not a full time development team so we might be waiting a long time yet...
