Ok I am really confused.

Can somebody PLEASE expalin to me the difference between these 2 drives:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA2W019M6559

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136533&ignorebbr=1

For my life I could not list an advantage/disadvantage between the two. They seem to be exactly the same (Yes, I know one is not sold by Newegg but I'm talking about the actual drive).

I'm wanting to get the fastest 1TB/1.5TB/2TB drive on the market. Any suggestions? Are those 2 above any good?

Anyone?

EDIT: I called WD and they said that there is no difference between the 2 drives. It is only a matter of when they were released. (The higher the number, the newer the model).

So, I'm thinking of getting this 2TB model: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822236624

According to Newegg it's the newest 2TB Black model. Any comments?

Looks like a different model number is all. There a 30 dollar difference in price though... Hmmmm

Nice Drive.  I've used Western Digital's Black series drives for some time and I've never had one fail me yet.  Of course, as with all things computer related, YMMV.

Cheers.

Yeah - get a Seagate!

Sorry, couldn't resist - I have not had good fortune with Western Digital HDD.

I have a Seagate right now. This one to be specific: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148697

It's OK. A bit slow, and I think I'll need more space in the future so I'm wanting a 2TB model.

Thanks. I think I'm going to go ahead and get this one.

EDIT

Done! Should be here later this week (express shipping).  B)

Thanks all who replied. Happy new year.

Yes. Somebody can do that, for sure! :))

the FZEX series is a newer model, which promise "higher performance of up to 48 percent, better accuracy, stronger reliability and a greater efficiency".

Details: http://The updated HDDs promise higher performance of up to 48 percent, better accuracy, stronger reliability and a greater efficiency

I use black series for some time, great performance, no problems at all.
