Cristoph, problem is, English is also far from being a language I have full "control" over :-)

What I meant was that, after getting acostumed to the realism, smoothness, overall feel, that X-Plane 10 is providing, it becomes difficult for me to look at FSX, even with the best add-ons / "makeup", the same way I looked at it before - FSX now feels more "artificial" and less "realistic" overall.  That was my point :-)

So, although there are still some annoying bugs / limitations / quirks... I am ready to wait and accept X-plane's evolution pace, just as it is :-)

Flying gliders since 1980

Flightsimming since 1992

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

Ben and Austin, but I take my hat to their work and dedication, as well as your work, Andras, that of PilotBalu, and many others making X-Plane 10 so good...

Yesterday I started FSX with DX10, Orbx FTX Global, and the PMDG 777. Set it at LPPT ( don't know why... ), ASN was pumping in it's SUPERB weather and PMDG was giving me stable fps, not to high because my rig isn't the top...

I had been mostly flying X-Plane 10 during the last weeks...

Guys, it felt soooooo strange, so "artificial", so less realistic in the short / medium distance, to my eyes, now acostumed to the SimHeaven photo and OSM sceneries, plus some great airport add-ons...aircraft, etc... It's impossible for me, even under the "bloom" effect of some of the best add-ons, to feel like I felt before when using FSX... it's outdated, that's probably the best word I can find to express what I feel ...

Let's wait for the ( I guess brilliant ) future X-Plane 10, and 11... will bring ;-)

I am absolutely with you! Yesterday l, I did a few circuits in the NGX with all the bells and whistles and all the improvements (ASN, REX,FS2Crew, etc.) doing their thing, but it simply didn't touch me. It felt "wrong". X Plane is giving me this sensation of flight, the immersion I had years ago, in the early days of FS9, with the Dreamfleet 727 and the Level D 767. The fun is back, simple as that. And more than missing all the nice additions like FS2Crew etc., I am really looking forward to the beautiful things to come in X Plane!

Thank You very much for Your reply Jcomm!

Now i understand clearly!

Cheers, Christoph

Enjoy flying and happy landings.

I understand, and something always keeps pulling me back to XP, even when I sell the darn thing!

I hope that 2014 will see the sim come of age and we will finally see improvement where it's needed, especially where cruise altitude visibilty, weather, ATC, and airports are concerned.

ATC and the blurr almost for sure!

Weather, I believe only datarefs and additional parameters might be created for 3pds to start developing in this area.

Flight dynamics for sure too :-)

And a sexy GPS too!

Well this sure sounds very promising and as if there will really be some great improvements comming for X-Plane sometime in 2014!

So true. Same feelings here. I miss lots of feature in XPX but simply cannot go back to FSX/PR3D. I like the still pictures of Opus, the uber detailed airports of ORBX but then when flying into them I feel the urge to quit and going back to XPX.
