January 24, 201412 yr MSE 2.0 files : Windows 11 | i7-14700KF | DDR5-64Go | RTX-4070 Super | 1440p 32" curved screen | G903
January 25, 201412 yr Author These files can be removed from MSE 2.0 to avoid a problem of water color transparency around lakes with Ultra-Res when both sceneries are activated in the library. Windows 11 | i7-14700KF | DDR5-64Go | RTX-4070 Super | 1440p 32" curved screen | G903
February 15, 201412 yr So, just delete the matching file names from MSE2, and HighRes fits like a glove?
February 15, 201412 yr I thought the two can coexist and not be an issue when activated at the same time? Are you saying that's not the case and overlapping files have to be deleted?
February 18, 201412 yr Yes, I don't understand this one. Place the Ultra-Res on top of MSE V2 and that should trump out anything that was being displayed in MSE V2. February 23, 201412 yr Yes, I don't understand this one. Place the Ultra-Res on top of MSE V2 and that should trump out anything that was being displayed in MSE V2. I'm seeing that it doesn't work that way. Will post a separate thread, but seeing an anomaly for MSE 2.0 Georgia and Ultra Res Atlanta as well.
February 23, 201412 yr Hummm. This is what I am seeing, with Orlando UltraRes clearly above MSE2 Florida in my scenery library. I also have a KLAL (Lakeland) which this is near, and it is above both, but just the airport. I see this difference at the border of the scenery areas elsewhere, as well. I have seen coloration difference like this between MSE2 states, like Indiana and Ohio, but not around other UltraRes scenery such as Charlotte, Washington-Baltimore, or Philadelphia. Also, the Orlando section should be square. February 25, 201412 yr Commercial Member Frank, So this is what you are seeing WITHIN the Ultra-Res Orlando coverage area as described by the chart on the product page? If so, then yes there is some kind of system problem there. It's not an issue with the scenery. I loaded Orlando up and took the screenshots myself for that product, and didn't see any mixing like this of sources. What happens if you disable MSE 2.0 Florida in the scenery library? Does that fix it? DeanManager - PC Aviator AustraliaRetailing Sim DVD Software, Downloads, Hardware and Accessories
February 25, 201412 yr So this is what you are seeing WITHIN the Ultra-Res Orlando coverage area as described by the chart on the product page? The screen shot is at a location approaching Lakeland, FL, from the south. Lakeland is at the western end of the Orlando coverage area, near the SW corner. I have a flight planned for over that area tomorrow and may try some different selections and report back. You can see, however, in the screen shot, that the scenery detail from approx 10,000 continues through from one area to another. The detail is consistent but the color is not. By the way, over in the related topic concerning Atlanta, where I also saw a response from you, member davenicoll replied that he has the same issue as me in Florida/Orlando. So I am not the only one with the issue you see. March 22, 201412 yr Seeing the same thing. Guess I'll have to exclude the files as described. Would be nice if PCA could figure this out and exclude the necessary files for each ultra res package at install. http://imageshack.com/a/img703/4781/i5zv.jpg
