The problem with P3D is that LM limited the LOD_RADIUS setting to a lower maximum (presumably to help prevent OOMs?) and hence the detail out into the distance is less than what you can set in FSX with MSE or photoscenery in general.

Alex, yes you are looking at real photos :P Well, the textures are derived from real photos anyway!

"Go West Young Man!"

Superb shots there.  MSEv2 Arizona is one of my favorite states.  They had good data to work from.

Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!)  Windows 10, (hold off for now on Win11),  EVGA 1300W PSU
Netgear 1Gbps modem & router, (3) 27" 1440 wrap-around displays
Full array of Bravo, Saitek and GoFlight hardware for the cockpit. Varjo and HP VR headsets for mixed reality.

I do not think P3D is the problem.......The 3TB HDD is only capable of moving about 80MB/sec avg......need minimum 160MB/sec avg. for photoscenery.

You should post some shots of Canyonlands.... Utah is one of my favorite places to fly in FS with a bird like the KingAir. I can only imagine what it would be like in the real world to tour the various locations there from the vantage point of a low flying turbo prop.

Vernal (Spirit Mountain) is another nice area where the Dinosaur Quarry is located.

Will try and grab a few shots for you. Gives me a new place to explore. I am yet to see much of Utah.
