I received the following message:

"The publisher of Prepar3D-v2_Academic 2.0.9448.0 to 2.1.9936.0 Patch msp couldn't be verified"

How should I proceed?

Thanks,

Howard

Ignore that message. It simply means that the installer isn't 'code signed'.

This is your Windows security working like a charm.  Click okay.  The product is safe to install.

Unable to open the .msp file. Tried using P3D setup but it is looking for a cab1 file. I know I'm being stupid but can someone please tell me why?

Thanks

I read that some guys have the problem that this msp extension is tied to the wrong program.

This may help http://whatis.techtarget.com/fileformat/MSP-Windows-Installer-patch-file

How idiotic is it that Microsoft themselves use the same .msp extension for two of their own programs!

Since MSPaint has been around for years, it seems to me that the 'patch installer' should have been written to use a different extension... :Silly:

Copy the patch-file into C:\ root-directory

Open the command-line-editor

Change directory to C:\ root: cd c:\

type:  msiexec.exe /update P3D-patchname.msp

...and the update will start.

Allways three greens,
