I'm pretty shure that purchasing Prepar3D today you will get the v2.3 installer. And no, you don't need to install P3D on the OS drive. I did a clean install direct to my SSD H:\.

Thank you very much for this clarification, Rob. I also like the Duke v2 and even the Legacy very much in P3D v2.1. Yes, i'm missing some sounds, but the default avionics do all work very fine, no problem with missing GPS-data. I hope for a stable flightsim platform from LM and will have no problem with a charge for a proper P3D conversion of your great planes!

Copy the patch-file into C:\ root-directory Open the command-line-editor Change directory to C:\ root: cd c:\ type: msiexec.exe /update P3D-patchname.msp ...and the update will start.

Hey friends, i fixed the problem i had with DX10-preview. It was a matter in the Nvidia system control (Nvidia Systemsteuerung), which you can reach with a right-click on your Windows desktop. Opening the control center, there is the first point left "3D-settings" and - in blue - "manage 3D settings" (3D-Einstellungen verwalten). On the right side there are two cards: "global settings" and "program settings". In "global settings" there is an option "energy management mode" (Energieverwaltungsmodus). Standard setting here is "adaptiv", but the choise is "prefer maximal power" (maximale Leistung bevorzugen). Thats it! B) After doing these few clicks, my DX10 works perfect with FSX without any failures! :wub:

For me the framerate is okay. If you want to shut off the G1000 you can use a clickspot in the upper left corner of the two displays.

Is anybody able to use the alphynumeric keys for entries like waypoints or even "direct-to" airports? For me this feature doesn't seem to work :-(

Well Paul and all others, I've tried a lot, but something is going wrong on my PC with FSX and DX10. Maybee its my grafic card, maybee ORBX sceneries, I realy don't know it. Even with the new fsx.cfg AND droping the GTX 570 down to default: after a while the screens freezes and I get my green points. Thank you a lot for your help, but this seems to be a special problem with my FSX installation. I am waitung fpr P3D 2.0 coming out this winter. Until that I will fly my FSX in DX9 mode with no problems. The last weeks I spent more time in trobbleshooting than in flying, and that's not good. Anyway: I've learned a lot and for a small screenshot the DX10-patch even works for me, too! Again, thanks a lot for your help!! :p0503:

And I will reduce the frequency of my GTX 570 from 786 MHz down to 732 MHz. Hope it will help... I already used Memtest and even tried FSX with only 8 GB, changing the modules one by the other - RAM is okay. I'm wondering why DX9 works without any problem but DX10 makes this confusion on my PC :wacko:.

After some flights unfortunatly I've got my problem back. A short flight in Skagit Regl., for about 20 min all is working fine. But in the moment of touch down the screen freezes and the PC could only be "reanimated" by pressing reset. I took a picture with my camera from the screen:

Actually I've changed the UIAutomationCore.dll, went back to Nvidia driver 304.48 and did a rebuild of my fsx.cfg. With all that I did a flight from KSEA to KSFO with Carenados B200, REX-highres textures, ActiveSky weather engine and Plan-G on a second monitor. After 3 hrs. I've had a good landing in frisco. So this was my first try, I'm going on testing. But the results seem to be very good - thanks for the help!! The next question are optimal settings in Nvidia-inspector. I thought there was an instruction anywhere, but cannot find it anymore?!

Thanks a lot for your answers. The card is clean and water-cooled, even with very heavy games not more than 50°C, mostly mid forties using FSX. I'll try to go back to driver version 304.48. UIAtomationCore.dll is version 6.0.6001.18000 in FSX root and newer versions (6.1.xxx) in system32 and SysWOW64. I found this in Microsoft Community forum. Is it a solution to delete the DLL?

Hi, first of all thank you very much for developing this patch! I enjoy cockpitshadows and watereffects very much. But... After a while my screen becomes black and Win7-64 brings this message: In engish: the graficcard-driver has been recovered after a failure. Unfortunatly this happens every time after about 10 or 15 minutes flying and the monitor is black after this message. FSX is not down, I hear the engines and can stop simulation with ESC. After that the start menu is visible, but the preview window with the chosen airplane is black. Restarting FSX and everything is okay, until the next breakdown after a few minutes of flying - no metter, where I am (Orbx or default FSX, all the same). All about my pc-system you can find here. AFAIK all RXP-gauges are not working in P3D.

On my system there is no big difference. Both planes are running smooth. Maybee F1 takes the frames with their G1000 and Carenado with 4096-HD-textures, don't know.
