April 8, 201412 yr Author Hi Steve - The ground shadows are disabled. I removed (uninstalled ) the libraries and it does the same in DX10 native. I haven't touched DX9 since I've converted so I don't know if i does the same black flicker. Could it be driver or hardware related? The only change I made was upgrading from from a 580GTX to a 780 GTX and updated the driver. I am using the same Nspector setting. Thanks for checking this out...
April 9, 201412 yr Author Hi Steve- After reinstalling drivers, mucking about with fsx.cfg, nvidia settings, reinstalling dx10fixer, I finally figured out it must be texture specific. I identified the issue. Not DX10 related. I found the texture sheet with power plant on it. It is nuclear01.dds that was causing the black flickering. I converted the file from DDS to bmp using the image tool. I then used dxtbmp tool to go and fix the alpha channel by converting it to black. I saved the file and replaced the DDS with the new mipped mapped bmp file and the issue was resolved. Good lesson learned here- if you see a flickering texture- it's most likely a texture issue, and not DX10. !!! Kudos to you and your team - I don't know how anyone can have a product for FSX with the infinite number of combinations of hardware, software, drivers, etc and keep their sanity! Thanks again for the great product and support. Daniel
January 6, 201511 yr Sorry for posting my question here, but i did not find any specific PowerProject subforum. I am running FSX in DX10 Mode with the fabulous fixer. On approach to LOWW i noticed an area of wind turbines, but as mentioned in this thread before there were no red lights on it. Has someone found a way to make these lights visible? I tried excluding them from conversion i the fixer, but no change. Perhaps i missed something? Thanks for suggestions, and thanks for this great addon!! Matthias By the way, excluding the smoke effects from conversion was a 100$ hint, thanks again Ryzen 9 7950X3D; MSI X670E; 48 GB DDR5 Ram; NVIDIA RTX 4080 Super 16 GB
