  1. If you want to add on more birds and other animals, give Wildlife+ by Ivar Danielsen a try. It injects flocks of birds as autogen. It includes land, sea, and air wildlife and works perfect with P3d.

  4. I did a clean install of the new 368.69 driver and still see them same shadow rendering issue on the autogen trees.

  6. Hi Rob - Yes, I manually deleted the shader files before retesting with the default shaders. I'll clean install the 368.69 drivers tonight and save a flight for you to download. Thanks. Since you can reproduce it as well, did you use the Orbx HD trees or default? Does that make a difference?
  7. Hi Rob - The prepar3d.cfg setting for the shadow entries have not been modified. I did use the PTA to darken the autogen shadows for the shaders and it is more pronounced now. When I reverted back to the default shaders, it did the same thing, only less noticeable because they were lighter. I also have the receive shadows ticked for the autogen trees. I do not use any terrain shadows, just cloud shadows. I think my video has the setting at the end of it... I am running 2 980GTX, SLI using 361.43. Behavior is there with or with SLI enabled. Thanks.
  8. Ok- here is the video. I run 3 screens and used ShadowPlay to make it. The end of the video has my setting. I have not changed anything from in the cfg file for the shadows. Notice in the center of the screen, the shadows pop into view on the individual trees as I fly over the treetop level. If you cant run the video across three screens, then try running at half speed. You can clearly see the tree shadow behavior in this.   11. Hi - unfortunately a screenshot would not show it. Yes, I have the receive shadows ticked on. I noticed the behavior everywhere but was flying mostly in Orbx PNW, Cascade Locks Airport. I do have Orbx HD trees installed but cannot image that is the issue since all the trees in all the default scenery have the same strange shadow drawing.
  12. Hello All - I have been witnessing a strange behavior on my Prepar3d 3.3.5 with the rendering of the autogen trees and their shadows. It has because even more pronounced since I started using the Prepar3D Tweak Assist (PTA) since it darkens up the shadows. I have already confirmed that it does the strange rendering using the standard shader files.(so PTA is not to blame) I am a low and slow pilot, flying generally over the Pacific Northwest with my autogen trees maxed out. I recently turned on the autogen tree shadows and really liked the additional depth and realism that it added to the sim. What I noticed now while flying around and above the treetop level, is the rendering or almost like painting of the shadows popping up on individual trees in front of me. It seems to be worse when I am flying into the sun and the shadow would be on the side of the tree I am flying toward. It reminded me of the old autogen popping up. I spent 5 hours yesterday (my wife thinks I'm nuts) trying all sorts of shadow changes (shadow distance, shadow quality, cfg file settings), disabling SLI, dropping back to driver 361.43 (Rob's recommended driver), restoring the original shaders, etc. and still get the same behavior. Has anyone else seen this? Any recommendations on minimizing the effect or fixing? Thanks, Daniel
  13. Since I only use the virtual cockpit, I don't notice any side objects larger. I don't have as large a FOV as my projectors with the LCD montiors. I would guess that it has something to do with the LCD monitor angle more so that the eyepoint. Send Nikola an email - he should be able to point you in the right direction for your setup.
  14. Great support has been my experience as well. I have been using it with a 3 projector system for the last 2 years and just hooked up 3 LCDs and get the additional benefit of image correction why flying at my desktop.

  17. Looks great for m. I had to make a few adjustments as well. I ended up not using the GPUTerrain.fx because I was getting shimmering cloud textures. I did end up tweaking the file to use only the finalSunColor (line 1013, shed further light on the illuminated areas). Used the cloud_alternate and the HDR from the realism shader pack. WOW - does it look great, especially dusk & dawn. thank you
  18. Just installed and tested 364.72 with SLI. Working as advertised, seems smooth and performance looks like the same. I like to keep up to date on the drivers and have a stable sim. Thanks for the info. Time to get back to flying...
  19. I have been watching all the info on the new drivers and still cannot decide if I should upgrade them. I am running 361.91 for SLI on GTX980s on P3.2.3 and it seems to be working well. Is your experience with the latest build 364.72 on SLI improved? thanks
  20. I thought I read that the Orbx vector lights automatically turn off when in the region that you are using the NE products. I have British Isles and Orbx Global , Orbx Ireland and Northern Ireland. What I am observing is the vector lights "popping" into the scenery as I am flying. I am assuming this Orbx vector lights as move to the next LOD radius area. It looks light whole sectors of the roadway suddenly getting switched on. I am running P3d 3.2. How do I minimize that effect? Thanks in advance.
  21. I have a similar setup as you and do not run GSX or other programs that create menus so I just installed the client update and it looks great! I am finally going to load my NE British Isles for some real night flying. I am very reluctant to mess things up now so unless someone has a very compelling reason to install the content update. From what I read, it's just a reinstall of the Global textures, REX textures, PrecipFX, and HD Airport textures. I think I'm done for now and it's back to flying. :smile: :smile: :smile:
  22. I was wondering the same thing and I just bought SimSettingManager about 15 minutes ago. It looks like it may be able to keep track of all the changed files and updated config and xml files as well.

  25. Hello All / Chris Bell I bought NE British Isles for Prepar3D. I am using Orbx Global and Orbx North Ireland and Ireland. The sim crashes every time it try to run it in the light map area. I also tried to register on the NE forum but it will not send me an authorization email to complete my registration. It's not in my spam or junk folder. I sent an email to admin and received no support or reply. Can anyone confirm that. This products works for 3.1? Thanks , Daniel
