Denny, start from the bottom up. put all your autogen to sparse, antialiasing to minimum, fxaa off, shadow quality to low, tessellation off, turn off all shadows, cloud draw distance 70nm. if that improves it, go one notch up with antialiasing.

wr269  All options have been tried . After 2.1 update  all settings even  far left in display  zero options selected fps 80 to 100. stutters still there.  Rob and I have the same problems after update . All options have been tried, LM changed something in the update that caused this Did not add anything all vanilla settings. Thanks for suggestions. See my spects strong system ran great until update. Was truly looking for this to be  next great sim.   Denny

Bummer! I just found stutters if I limited my frames. If I move to unlimited it is smooth as glass.

I did a fresh install for 2.1 and I´ve got stutters, blurries, and very bad fps which jump around.

I tried everything that came in my mind but 2.1 stays unflyable :-(

Posted in the LM forum, but I can´t imagine how any help could look like.

Don´t know what to do, switch back to 2.0? ... no idea...

Did you try what WR269 suggests (delimiting FPS) as well as getting rid of affinity mask? As soon as I tried that, sputters were a thing of the past.

ROFL im on sandy bridge and it runs prepar3d like its nothing. my gpu however, thinks the apocalypse is coming. haha.  For me this is what worked. i turned off HT on bios and add affinity mask to cfg. lock fps with inspector to 30 or 60 and set p3d fps to unlimited. also try tesselation off. and lastly go ahead and try latest graphic drivers it cant hurt. additionally try putting in the inspector vsync to "vsyncmode flipinterval 2"  AKA 1/2 vsync. hope it helps.

Did anybody experiment with the "maximum pre-rendered frames" parameter in NI? I'm just checking with increasing and if it change anything. Difficult for me because I don't have stutters at all.

I have a fresh 2.1 install. Other than FTXGlobal, no other addons. I have noticed the stuttering which is significantly noticeable when the fps is locked. Once moved to unlimited, the stutters disappeared.
