March 20, 201412 yr So I downloaded 2.1 and I'm not exactly happy with it. I get blurries when I had none in 2.0 and the HDR in 2.1 is way to dark so I've been force to turn it off. Honestly I'm no better off then I was with FSX now. No HDR and blurries galore. I no longer have the 2.0 installer does anyone know I way to get a 2.0 installer? ATP MEL,CFI,CFII,MEI. March 20, 201412 yr Same here, they have removed the download link from the website and I never saved 2.0 because everyone was having trouble patching so went for full install. I have PM'd LM twice now and they have not replied. God forbid you ask a question like this over on the LM site. I agree with you that v2 was better, for me anyway. I fly with MSE photoscenery and questions about blurries has been asked over on their site too but with no answer as to how or when it will get solved. I did do a repair of the 2.1 two days ago and it appears slightly better but that might just be wishfull thinking. terry
March 20, 201412 yr Dave, "I no longer have the 2.0 installer does anyone know I way to get a 2.0 installer?" All important payware needs to be backed up on your own CDs. I would post on LM forum or e-mail LM sales ... they may still have a link to cover pilots special needs ... customer satisfaction / money back etc. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
March 20, 201412 yr This is how I fixed the blurries on my system: 1. I set affinity to use all cores with 2.1. What I found worked best on my system was setting it through Windows shortcut rather than the cfg file. This is how my shortcut on the desktop looks (for my quad core processor): C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /c start "Prepar3D.exe" /high /affinity 15 "F:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\Prepar3D.exe" 2. Set FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION in the cfg to a lower value (which is the opposite of what you'd expect) - somewhere between 0.1 and 0.2 (I use 0.11). The terrain paging engine seemed to be waiting too long per frame and this helped with "snap-in" of textures. 3. Run with frames set at unlimited and v-sync + triple buffering enabled. Don't forget to apply the dll hotfix posted on the LM forums. Cheers and good luck.

Do you see the same thing. ATP MEL,CFI,CFII,MEI. Type Ratings B-737, ERJ-190,ERJ-170
March 20, 201412 yr Yeah z06z33, same here. its rubbish with all my photoscenery. 2.0 was ok and had high frame rates fast and low and nice sharp images. if only they would up the LOD radius all would be good. I understand that they fix one thing but end up breaking another. its been like this all through FSX and into LM. I was an aircraft engineer for many years and if we found a crack, structures bay would come and nail some thicker gauge metal on it that would then push the crack somewhere else. their theory was that they would continue to do this until the crack fell off the wingtips. I dare say that one day it will get sorted, but at the moment I would be happy just to go back to 2.0 till they fix the fix, terry
March 21, 201412 yr Moderator This is precisely why before I installed version 2.0, and again before installing the 2.1 patch, I created a new Restore point... If I wanted to revert my Prepar3D installation, I'd simply use the appropriate Restore point to 'roll back' to my original files. Fr. March 21, 201412 yr This is why I spend 15 minutes to burn the files to DVDs. Less time than downloading again, if you can find the files!!!
