PDMG vs IFly 737 for Fs2004?

Featured Replies

I'm another simmer that would thoroughly recommend the Ifly for FS9 over the PMDG version :)

The VC is one of the best around!!

BTW to those that have this acft has anyone come across repaints for Fiji Airways B738 and B737? (I have Air pacific repaint but would love the upgrade to the new livery)

You might want to post your request in the painters forum over at iFly. They have a thread for FS9 requests and are really quite good at getting the paints out.

Its a Toshiba satellite C855D-S5205 and its about 2 years old, It has got an AMD Vision E2 processor, 4gb of ram and the graphics card is an AMD Raedon Hd 6320 with 384mb of memory.

The i-Fly will struggle on that laptop, but you will have the F1 30 day money back deal to fall back on if you find performance is to slow.

With this laptop, you'll be definitely struggling to fly the iFly in VC, but you can kill the VC (there are various tutorials for doing so) and keep flying in 2D.

Main rig: self built, AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D (with SMT off and CO -50 mV), 2x16 GB DDR4-3200 RAM, Nvidia RTX 5060Ti 16GB, 256 GB M.2 SSD (OS+apps) + 2x1 TB SATA III SSD (sims) + 1 TB 7200 rpm HDD (storage), ID-Cooling SE-224-XTS air cooler, Viewsonic VX2458-MHD 1920x1080@120-144 Hz (G-sync compatible), Windows 11. Running P3D v5.4 (with v4.5 scenery objects as an additional library, just in case), FSX-SE, MSFS2020, MSFS2024 and even FS9! Lossless Scaling for all my sims. What a godsend...

Mobile rig: ASUS Zenbook UM425QA (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H APU @3.2 GHz and boost disabled, 1 TB M.2 SSD, 16 GB RAM, Windows 11 Pro). Running FS9 there .

VKB Gladiator NXT Premium Left + GNX THQ as primary controllers. Xbox Series X|S wireless controller as standby/mobile.

Or you can fly with PMDG's VC

I hate panels, so I would not want to remove the vc, that would be like getting a new car and ripping out the interior. I guess I could get the pdmg, but I really need to get a new pc and if I did I would probably go all out building one and convert to xplane.
