March 25, 201412 yr Nice so those panel states I created for touch & go's should work if I set them as the start up state instead of the usual 777 SHORT That's my experience. Maybe it will be different at your PC but I think it's worth of try. Lj. March 25, 201412 yr 2.Go to STARTUP STATE (RSK3) and select default profile (one with engines running). Interesting. Thanks for the tip. Been having panel state glitches, like gear disagree etc.I cannot see a default panel state with engines running. Only C & D, Long and short ? I Am I missing a panel state ? March 25, 201412 yr Commercial Member It's there, I just found it. Called def.flt on page 2. Have never used it Rob Prest
March 25, 201412 yr It's there, I just found it. Called def.flt on page 2. Have never used it At my 777 it's called TAKE OFF READY  I'm not sure what's going on with these profiles, hope they will fix it in SP1. @Badfinger - try on next pages, or if it's not there, take a look at PMDG folder in windows, in all this confusion, maybe you don't have it installed. March 25, 201412 yr Thanks guy's, seems I don't have it. Only have one page on the fmc set up. Will look in the pmdg folder. This gear disagree issue is driving me nuts so hopefully a custom startup will fix it. Edit: I don't see it in pmdg folder in windows either. Strange I don't have it. I reinstalled the T7 just a couple of days ago because of the issue. March 25, 201412 yr Well, you can try with long or short instead of take off ready (Default profile). I wouldn't recommend C&D one. Lj. Prodanovic
March 25, 201412 yr Will have to go for the Short, as I think the Long is causing me grief. October 12, 201411 yr Hello, is it normal that DES NOW LSK doesn't cause any aircraft reaction? -> even when VNAV is active, I'm 15 nm befrore TOD and MCP altitude is set for lower FL? Lucas Lukasz Trzaskowski
October 12, 201411 yr Have you set your physical throttles to idle? It should descend with lower rate until it intercept calculated descend profile. Lj. Prodanovic
October 12, 201411 yr Correct, I know what should it do, but why it didn't do it I don't remeber well but on 90% I don't have throttles to idle... Lukasz Trzaskowski
October 12, 201411 yr Ok, I tried with throttles to idle and still no reacts when press DES NOW :( Lukasz Trzaskowski
October 13, 201411 yr Commercial Member I haven't used the function in quite some time, but isn't there a secondary action when you hit DES NOW? As in, you have to confirm the action by hitting EXEC after? Kyle Rodgers
October 13, 201411 yr I think so yes......set lower altitude/descend now/execute.......boy, I cant remember the last time I used this feature! Climb direct and descend direct (CDU descend page) I do use occasionally if I want to delete multiple altitude restrictions at once....but descend now.... Easier to just hit the Altitude selector (it is exactly the same as descend now). Rob Robson
October 13, 201411 yr Commercial Member Easier to just hit the Altitude selector (it is exactly the same as descend now). Yeah - I do the same, but usually for steps...similar cut in number of actions. Kyle Rodgers
October 13, 201411 yr ...As in, you have to confirm the action by hitting EXEC after? No. EXEC remains extinguished after press DES NOW. However, I tried press EXEC, but nothing happened. Easier to just hit the Altitude selector (it is exactly the same as descend now). Yes, but I'm courious is it bug or I'm doing something wrong Lukasz Trzaskowski
