Aerosoft/SimWings Madrid (LEMD) scenery - any good?

Featured Replies

It's 20% off on the Aerosoft site now. Did you get it WebMaximus? And if so, is it worth the money?

I love Simwings, but Madrid is not even installed on my system. Flickering textures killed it for me.

BTW I paid 1/2 the normal price.

I have it and it has never presented any issues for me(FSX). FPS seemed for an older rig acceptable, now better with a newer rig.

It's really odd how some sceneries perform so differently on different machines with similar specs. I guess it will remain a conundrum

Never had great performance with any of the older Simwings stuff. Amsterdam, Madrid, Paris are all very heavy on frames but visually look quite old now compared to others which also perform better. I guess scenery techniques are developing and most of the issues are due to portovers from FS9.

I agree Lawrence. Perhaps the airports you mentioned, which I too have abysmal performance with, are FS9 models rejigged for FSX?
