May 4, 201412 yr I know you guys haven't released a voice edition mostly because of the absence of a SDK. What are the chances that if PMDG happened to release a SDK that you guys would develop a voice edition? The MD-11 still has white a following. David J. May 4, 201412 yr I hope too, voice edition is a must have! Riccardo OS: Windows 10-64 bit, CPU: i7-7700K @4.20 GHz, GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 G1 8GB GDDR5, RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 32GB 3000MHz, MB: MSI Z270
May 4, 201412 yr Commercial Member What are the chances that if PMDG happened to release a SDK that you guys would develop a voice edition? PMDG will never release an SDK for the MD-11. Their attention is on future products, not old ones.... unless they do an MD-11 V2... that might be interesting. Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord

Cheers, Hi Bryan, Could you clarify this a bit. There is already a button version for the MD-11, which I would assume use an SDK? I think you some time ago mentioned the possibility of 'replacing' the button controls with 'voice activated' controls and this way create an intermediate FS2Crew voice edition for the MD-11?

We use simulated mouse clicks to interface with the MD-11 since there's no SDK. It does the job, but it's not as clean as having the SDK. B. May 30, 201412 yr as you said before, a voice version as simple as the 747-400 one could be great for us as well Fabian Fuchs
December 22, 201411 yr I have a question of FS2Crew voice for the MD-11. I know that is not a possibility and I am not asking for this to be done, however, I am wondering if the Microsoft voice system can be used to trigger the button on the button version? If so you would then have a voice version even though the FO would not actually hear you say anything. The only issue left would be for the Captain voice to be quiet so you are not reading back and then having the FS2Crew captain read back a second time. Mark CYYZ
December 22, 201411 yr That choppy voice is not something I could live with for very long. Fs2crew is much better in my opinion but I gUess this is an option for those that must have voice. Mark CYYZ
December 23, 201411 yr Commercial Member Fs2crew is much better in my opinion but I gUess this is an option for those that must have voice. Creating phrases out of chopped up words strung together sounds hideous and grating and destroys the sense of realism rather than adding to it. Don't worry we'll never do it. My dream is speech synthesis that sounds 100 or at least 99 percent natural and smooth... but we're still aways a way from that I think. I am wondering if the Microsoft voice system can be used to trigger the button on the button version? Hi Mark, I'm sure I could figure out a way to do it... but it's not going to happen.... 2015 shall be the year of 777 updates, the 747 and hopefully Ultimate Ground Crew X... B. No worries, I will stick with the manual checklists and flows. Hopefully the order will be UGCX then updates for 777 then 747. I kind of think the 747 will not be out in 2015....PMDG has a way of taking a long time on this stuff once they get into the complexity of it and even though this is "just a V2 update" they will inevitably break stuff to make it better and it will delay things.
