May 31, 201412 yr It works great and I'm using 5 monitors. Are you asking how it runs using two R9 295? (The x2 part of your question). It does not run in crossfire since P3D is a borderless window program. I have two R295X cards but only one works in P3D.

It does not run in crossfire since P3D is a borderless window program. I have two R295X cards but only one works in P3D. Hi. Isn't the name of a "single" card technically the r9 295x2? (Since it's basically a dual card all built into one?) The card confuses me in terms of how the OS sees it. Is it "seen" as a single card by the OS or is it still seen as a crossfire setup, his requiring all the driver support, etc, that a crossfire setup would entail usually?
June 1, 201412 yr My mistake. Things move so fast I forgot there was an "x2". I have just the R9 295X, the single card. I suspect that with the X2 only one card is running in P3D. I had the HD 6990 and that was a dual card and only one card was active with P3D.
June 1, 201412 yr I would love to see the setup of 5 monitors, and I assume you are running it on Eyefinity; would you mind sharing your eyefinity resolution. Are you able to max out everything the graphics portion of P3Dv2 with this card. June 2, 201412 yr The resolution is 5400X1920 and I took these screen shots of my display settings. These settings give me 30 FPS locked. I'm not sure I added the pictures correctly so I included the links to my settings. https://www.dropbox.com/s/h0ivkic1dfwvmp3/gpuspeed.JPG https://www.dropbox.com/s/7dvlp8z18fiol27/1.JPG https://www.dropbox.com/s/3stveh1xsrh3tm6/2.JPG https://www.dropbox.com/s/w8129efych3sirz/3.JPG https://www.dropbox.com/s/qlwh3hjlvuv320q/4.JPG https://www.dropbox.com/s/ecs6at6wc4pyd4k/5.JPG
June 2, 201412 yr The resolution is 5400X1920 and I took these screen shots of my display settings. Would love to see those graphics settings images but I can't seem to access them? I'm looking into the AMD R9 295X2 when/if LM release a SLi/Crossfire supported version. Could you share what AA settings you use and are you able to override or enhance the LM AA settings (similar to nVidia Inspector SGSS AA)? Cheers, Rob.
June 2, 201412 yr I just edited my post to included the links. Does that work? I used the "image" icon in the posting editor to add my photos. I'm not sure why they are not displaying.
June 2, 201412 yr A video review entitled "OverKILL3D 295X2 Crossfire Review" by OC3D TV (google it) makes for a fascinating insight as to what is now possible.
June 4, 201412 yr I figured out how to post a picture. Photo-bucket works, not dropbox. Here are the setting I use with the R290X and five monitors.
June 5, 201412 yr Author Wait, so you're actually using a single R9 290x? I figured out how to post a picture. Photo-bucket works, not dropbox. Here are the setting I use with the R290X and five monitors.

June 5, 201412 yr Wait, so you're actually using a single R9 290x? Yes, just the single. I was not paying close enough attention to your original post. I didn't catch the X2 part. I do have two (2) R9 290X's but P3D is not a full screen program so only one card is active.
June 5, 201411 yr Huh :excl: Huh indeed. :-). P3D is a borderless window program versus full screen. It looks the same to the user but behaves differently. AMD crossfire does not support borderless windows at this time. This is too bad as only AMD lets you run your monitors in portrait mode. I've got my fingers cross that AMD will support borderless windows in the future. There are a number of programs that are now borderless window vs full screen.
