Strange Problem with buttons and switches in VC

Yep.  My entire rig is ASUS.  I am a huge ASUS ######.  Running an ASUS Sabertooth II X79 and ASUS GTX 980 video system.  :)    Well.  It's not a big deal really.  I'll live with it for now.  If others come in and pester you guys with the same issue I'll be interested to know if it's more than just a glitch Mobo.   Thanks for the responses.  You guys are tops as usual.

The BIOS issue could be more than just the ASUS boards (specifically the BIOS time), but there was a rash of boards from ASUS that suffered from it, though I forget what the exact issue was in technical terms (definitely a BIOS version issue, contrary to the simple time issue).

Interestingly, given my ASUS G74SX's suffering from the problem, and the battery in it that stopped holding a charge after a year (my HP dv7 still holds a charge for a few hours, and it's now six years old as of this Christmas - original battery), made me avoid their components entirely for the purchased I just made for my first purpose-built rig (that I'm hoping to assemble tonight). It's a decision that I find to be (admittedly) irrationally unfair - my one G74SX could just be a lemon among otherwise great performers - but the bad taste in my mouth was enough to push me away, at least for now.
