June 4, 201411 yr It's not so much the 777 that is troubling, but rather the download. I downloaded a 777-200 with 4 United Liveries; unzipped the contents to a temporary folder; dragged the aircraft folder to the FS9 aircraft folder; then I copied the effects files into the FS9 effects folder; and no surprise, the 777-200 is not an option in the aircraft list when using FS9. This has happened to me several times with other aircraft downloads, spending up to 30 minutes trying to figure things out rather than flying, and that eventually leads me frustrated enough that I just give up and use what I have. I mean, it should be as easy as just dragging the folders and files to the right place, right? Thanks for any help you provide!

Hi, TheRedBadger, It would be helpful for you to specify the download to which you are referring, and even better, provide a link to the specific file you have downloaded. I am guessing it is an Opensky or Skyspirit aircraft, but you need to say. If you provide a link or give the exact name of the file, I would be happy to take a look at it. As Luis and Flukey have suggested, it would also be helpful to post the [fltsim.X] (where X= numbers from 0 to the highest number of repaints you have for that aircraft). Unfortunately, you may need more than 30 minutes to figure out what the problem is. So a little patience is in order. Mike
June 26, 201411 yr Author It's been a while. 777 have a tendency to dissapear. No pun intended. :P Whoaaaaaa lol. June 27, 201411 yr Just chiming in here to save a little of the OP's time perchance. The liveries you have downloaded are for the "SkySpirit2012 B777-200/ER." You will need to have this aircraft in your sim in order for the liveries to display. Do you have this aircraft?
June 27, 201411 yr Here's where I got my link: http://www.fs2000.or...777-200er-pack/ Hi, TheRedBadger, Looks to me like the person who put together the package forgot to include the file ending in ".air". Otherwise everything looks in order, although I am away from my FS computer and can't test it right now. If you have another Opensky or Skyspirit 777-200ER, copy the air file from that folder into the one that's giving you trouble. In the new folder, rename it to "Boeing 777-200ER.air" if it doesn't already have that name (leave the name alone in the original folder you copied from). If you look in the aircraft.cfg file in the folder with your UAL repaints, you will see an entry for each repaint. At the beginning of each entry, you will see: [fltsim.0] title=Skyspirit2012 -- Boeing 777-200 United Airlines N777UA Tulip Livery sim=Boeing 777-200ER The entry in green has to point to a file with the same name ending in ".air". The Aircraft.cfg file together with the xxx.air file control the way the plane performs. Together they are referred to as the "FDE". There are a number of different versions of the FDE for Opensky/Skyspirit 777s around, but I think there are not many variations in the .air file. If you don't have another Opensky or Skyspirit 777 (one with an .air file), go to this link: http://poskyarchive.com/category/boeing/b777-200/ Scroll down until you see a section labeled "B777-200 FDE Packages". Then click on "Download FDE Pack Service Pack D". Or this link might take you directly to the download: http://cdn.poskyarchive.com/777-200/FDE%20Packages/FDE%20Pack%20Service%20Pack%20D.zip Once you open it or download it, all you need is one of the .air files; I recommend, in the 777-200ER folder, the one named "Boeing 777-200ER-PW4090.air", although most likely any of the air files there will work. Copy it into the folder with the UAL repaints and be sure to rename it as described above. Let us know if this fixes the problem. June 27, 201411 yr contains the complete package Mike you'd think at my age I wouldn't jump to conclusions! Many thanks for clearing that up and hope the OP gets it sorted. :hi:

I'll be aware of that next time an aircraft isn't available as an option. Thanks man!
