I'm reasonably convinced Aerosoft doesn't know when SP1 or the 77W will be released. Although, if you're going to generate an interest for any PMDG product, there's no better time than now.

I still fly the MD-11 more often than the 777, so sue me.  I think the cockpit layout is much more intuitive and natural than the Boeing one. NO weather radar or terrain radar though, is that kind of thing is important to you. Oh, and I don't know that I have EVER seen a sale on PMDG products before...another point in favor of buying it.

Absolutely. Even though there will be no further updates or p3d compatibility, if you plan on keeping fsx around for a while, then she a fun bird to fly. Kind of like Boeing mixed with some Airbus logic. And the startup low rumble is pretty sweet.
