LINDA 2.0.8 Update

 

With the release of the new Aerosoft Airbus A318/319 there is a need to change the name of the module used with the Aerosoft Airbus.  There is also a missing module from the formal 2.0 release - namely actions.lau with the version number 2.5b10.

 

The revised installation is available here and the updated notes for 2.0.8 are here.

 

If you are already using Version 2.0 with the VRInsight FCU panel and wish to use it with the new Aerosoft Airbus A318/A319 aircraft then the following changes are sufficient:

1. Open LINDA 2.0 and go to the settings page.
2. In the drop down list, select Aerosoft Airbus X. Deselect FSX sync first.
3. Click on Edit.
4. Change the Module Name and Aircraft Search String to 'Aerosoft Airbus'. You should see all the Aerosoft Airbus models listed.
5. Click on Edit to save new settings.

Please note that the Airbus A318/319 module 3.0.1 does not work with the Airbus FCU. I will be carrying out further work to improve compatibility.

on Tuesday I get my MCP Combo Airbus type (FCU Combo), but I do not understand how I have to configure Linda for the Airbus A318/19. Can I use the Version you have linked above ?

Do I need to install the original driver from VRinsight?

Can you give me maybe explain step by step how I linda must configure for the a319 and the MCP Combo Airbus type?

Can you check what versions of LINDA and the Airbus modules you are using? See Set up page.

 

The only drivers you need from VRInsight are VRiSIM.exe and the USB serial drivers. However, if you have FSX &  LINDA communicating with your Airbus FCU then I can only assume that you have these installed.

I download Linda from the link above and put the flies in the modules Folder from Fsx, that's all. Do I need something else?

More I could not test because the panel until Tuesday arrives.

You need to go to the VRinsight webpage (http://www.vrinsight.com/devel_shot/) and download the Install Base Package VRiSim and install (VRiSim.exe and USB-serial drivers).

 

You will also need the latest version of FSUIPC 4.936 (free or fully licenced) which is essential for LINDA to communicate with FSX and Airbus.

 

When you try you FCU for the first time, first FCU to your computer before starting LINDA and then FSX. There is an option for LINDA to start automatically with FSX starts. You will need to go the LINDA settings page to select the COM Port for your panel.

FSUIPC needs to be registered for LINDA to be able to work, that isn't optional.

I put this files in my modules folder and and make my settings with Linda ?!?

There was a missing file in the original so it was removed. The correct one is 2.0.8 as you found.

Sorry you had a problem. LINDA 2.0.8 is the current version but has only been tested with MCP2 (Boeing) and MCP2a (Airbus FCU). MCP1 users are recommended to stay with LINDA 1.13.

 

I am looking for MCP1 beta testers for LINDA 2.1. Would you be interested?
