December 19, 201411 yr Bought the base pack. What an amazing difference to the FSX default! Answering my own question: It doesn't take much longer to load a flight with FTX Global installed. Regards, Perry
May 28, 201511 yr Hi, is the FTX Global compatible with Cloud9 XClass? I bought XClass World couple of years ago, using it all the time and now I'm curious if I could use it with FTX Global... Edit: can you paste one screenshot of Croatia/Dubrovnik coastline and second of Montenegro/Tivat coastline? I will be thankful Lucas Lukasz Trzaskowski

FTX Global is just textures. So it will be what "paints" the tiles with whatever the landclass tells the sim to "paint" on it(i.e. forest, city, fields, etc.) Regards, Kevin LaMal "Facts Don't Care About Your Feelings" - Shapiro2024
May 29, 201511 yr Thanks Kevin, that's what I tought. Since month I consider to buy FTX products and I decided to surely buy Global Base. Still I'm in two minds if bought Vector and OLC-EU... because, as I mentioned, I have XClass and UTX2.0 only for Europe. Mainly I fly in Europe, however also over regions that UTX doesn't cover (Cyprus, Turkey, Balkans countries), sometimes Middle East and North Africa. I have in my plans to fly outside Europe (North and South America, maybe Asia) but I have this plan for several years Simply I don't know is it worth to buy Vector and OLC. Vector could be fine, because covers entire world, but many people said that it's not so precise (and worse then UTX). From the other side I can't look default stright Croatian's coasline and I assume that Vector repairs it I need final advice ...what would you do in my place? Ps. Is Vector updated periodically? May 29, 201511 yr I need final advice ...what would you do in my place? Ps. Is Vector updated periodically? Well, I guess that depends on if you can afford it or not. If you can, I'd say get Vector and OpenLC EU. You can layer things so that UTX EU will be used in the areas it covers and then Vector will take over when you leave the UTX EU region for your flights to Middle East, North Africa, etc. Also, you'll have OpenLC EU textures for the areas that it covers. This is what I do actually. Works great. You can do either or too as neither depends on the other one being there. So, if you can only afford one, then I'd say weigh how much flying do you do outside of the UTX/OpenLC EU region? If it's quite often, then maybe Vector would be the better choice for now since you'd at least have correct(or at least better than default) Vector data and the UTX/default landclass will do fine. If you stay inside that UTX/OpenLC EU region mostly, then maybe the OpenLC is the better choice. Up to you what's more important. June 1, 201511 yr Hi Friends, I have one more question: I assume that "Use Orbx Trees" option in FTX Central tool doesn't improve trees textures like payware addon "Trees HD"? Is there fps impact with this option on? Lucas Lukasz Trzaskowski
November 13, 201510 yr 1. For someone who mostly flies at FL300+, will FTX Global make much of a visual improvement? Mostly, I am looking for something that will fill in large desolate areas with more detail. 2. I have tried photosceneries, but they eat up VAS causing the sim to crash during long haul flights. 3. How do frame rates compare with FTX GLobal vs. with default scenery. Other texture packages (GEX, FScene4X), claim not to cause a performance hit. Andrew Andrew Jones
