So, temps are fine at idle now, but now the multiplier and CPU frequency has been going above 4.4. I haven't overclocked or attempted to at all: http://billedeupload.dk/?v=Losfq.png

Windows Power Option is set to 'High Performance'.

Sounds like Intel Turbo Boost at play. What are your BIOS settings for this feature?

I can't find any settings for intel Turbo Boost in Asus UEFI BIOS.

Now, after installling my add-ons, mods, tweaks etc. again, my GPU still performs oddly at times. It is just very inconsistent which I would not expect for a high-end card like the GTX 770.

This is just an easy example to relate and compare (I get worse scenarios on ground at EGLL for example):

I locked my FPS at 60 (at 30 it acts strange), and when cruising with the T7, my FPS hangs around 60 and my GPU load is 32% - http://billedeupload.dk/?v=seWx5.png

A few minutes later, my FPS drops to 30-40 and my GPU load becomes 65% - http://billedeupload.dk/?v=6e9Z4.png

This is a shot in the dark but is there any solution to this native FSX glitch: mouse cursor causes fps loss?

Cheers,

Dan

That Mouse Pointer thing can have quite an affect sometimes, an effect that does sometimes seem to vary. I keep it tucked away as much as I can.

If I got EZDok, would that keep the mouse away from the window in which it has an effect? I heard with EZDok you use keyboard and joystick keys to switch views, and right now, I hold down space and move the mouse to pan around the cockpit or other views.

Am I understanding this right?

I find it worst in PMDG aircraft. Massive drop in frame rate with cursor on screen. I have a very high frame rate though, so a brief dip into the high 20's doesn't bother me, at least not for just the few seconds the cursor is visible.

There is no fix I'm afraid. I believe it's the way Microsoft coded it, uses CPU cycles I believe to draw the cursor. Something like that.

Yes and it's worse in planes with more clickspots in the VC.

That issue always plagued me... Some never notice it - perhaps it's a factor here?
