August 15, 201411 yr I recently installed FSX on my Windows 8.1 PC. I have a problem where the AI planes taxi to the runway holding point and wait there until they disappear. They don't ask for take-off clearance. This didn't happen on my Windows 7 PC. Also the game crashes unless I enable Preview DirectX 10. Thanks in advance.

August 15, 201411 yr It's a problem with taxiway and runway holding point of specific airport. They have an error. I guess that is not happening at all airports. try update afcad. You can find them in AVSIM Library.
August 16, 201411 yr Does this happen at one airport or multiple airports? If it is just one airport, then it may well be the holding point is too far from the active runway. I guess another potential would be a sudden change in wind direction and the active runway changes after the AI are already taxiing. August 16, 201411 yr I have windows 7 and that happens at some airports some of the time. Maybe 20% of the time at most.It seems to be very random. Just a minor bug to me. "Why, he just jumped into the air and kept right on going."
