August 23, 201411 yr For PMDG aircraft, which is better in terms of performance and interaction: FS2Crew or MCE? rob martn Rob Marton
August 23, 201411 yr I own both and i would say fs2crew for pmdg. I use mce for my smaller planes and it works good. regards ted kiser
August 23, 201411 yr I also own both, but I am fairly new to MCE. I would say it depends what you want. For a specific plane, FS2Crew appears to be more precise about the checklists, but it is also more scripted. You have to say exactly this or do that, while MCE is more flexible about your answers. In MCE you can also write your own extensions. Cheers, Peter
August 23, 201411 yr I don't own MCE, but own FS2Crew for NGX, MD11, Airbus X and Maddog. I can't go flying without my virtual copilot and support is great! FS2Crew is simply fantastic! August 24, 201411 yr Author Hi, I just boust the FS2Crew NGX version, thank you all for your input. Just a quick question, how easy is the voice control ---learning voice recognition? Thank you again for the help. Rob Marton
August 24, 201411 yr I have never ran the voice recognition program. i just loaded and read tutorial and it worked fine.i have done that with pmdg 737 and ifly 737 for pr3d and all the other planes i have with fs2crew. Do read the instructions as it does help. Byork recommends you print out tutorial to have it handy wile you learn. Have fun you will in joy the Fs2crew for you ngx. Regards Ted Kiser
August 25, 201411 yr Commercial Member how easy is the voice control ---learning voice recognition? Really easy. There's a script that Windows will run you through so that it can pick up your own "version" of English, which will make the program more precise. As an example: I pronounce 'water' like "wah-ter" but my friends from Baltimore (not too far from me) say "wuh-der." If you don't run the voice tutorial (as instructed by FS2Crew), it won't pick up your instructions as accurately. Kyle Rodgers
August 25, 201411 yr Programs like MCE and VoxATC have their own speech recognition training program. It runs the standard program but is more tailored to flight sim. They make you read airline specific commands.
