Does Nvidia Inspector work at all with P3Dv2.3

Featured Replies

I think the original PO was asking is it working per say as with FSX when you can manipulate all settings, in which case the answer is it is still not working 100%

SGSS is not working try removing everything from the default to none in P3d then look at you jaggies shimmers etc.

Bottom line here is that nvidia need to get off their asses and work with LM to get a proper dx11 enabled driver support for a premium simulation title instead of messing around with support for yet more first person shooters that the world. Can live without.

For AA gamma correction as an example, when I start P3D V2.3 which setting is being used?

NI default = OFF or NV control panel = ON ??.....

Did you click the "apply" button in the Inspector? In my case it's both sides "off".

No, I did not "apply" anything.

My question was about the basic default settings in NI and the settings in the NV control panel as per my screenshot.

When I start the sim P3D which settings are actually in use?

I would say that what you see in CP. B) NI is another view onto the nVidia P3D profile with some extended options. But without applying what you see in NI it won't be active. If you change a parameter in CP you'll see it in NI too after refresh. Play a bit with this "Gamma correction" parameter in NI and CP and you may see the connection of both. Sometimes you've to restart CP.

I refreshed NI.

Gamma stayed OFF.

It is ON in CP.

That's odd. Maybe something changed in the driver and Inspector doesn't know how to deal with it (Inspector is quite old by now)....? I really wouldn't know what is causing this. I also don't know what setting is used here.

Well, I can keep it synchronous but it doesn't work all the time. Maybe toggle on/off in CP and refresh again in NI. As I said you need to play a bit then you see how it works.

For me and a few friends that have hardware similar to mine, after many attempts, we concluded that P3D 2.3 has its best performance with the minimum of interference, NI, CCC or RadeonPro.
For another group of friends who uses Nvidia things were not different, the result was the same, let P3D decide.
Some changes have gains in performance and image quality, but appear quite undesirable side effects, especially when we have to open a menu during the flight.
I use ATI 6950 2GB and the best result I got was leaving the settings mode "Controlled by Application"
