August 27, 201411 yr Hello, I am testing the new purchased P3D V2.3. Tonight's test was @ KIAH (by FsDreamteam) with the Airbus Extended by Aerosoft (v1.15). FPS were locked to 30. In game, at the airport, I had an average fps between 28 and 30, so a solid and steady fps. What I noted is an abnormal stuttering while turning right/left onto the taxiways and while going straight forward. In P3D v1.4, such steady fps allows a very smooth simulation, here with P3D V2 many (unpredictable) stutters. How is it possible running a solid and steady fps and get stutters? Thanks, bye. Such a benchmark analysis would show why it stutters. Spirit FRAPS analysed with FRAFS
August 27, 201411 yr Concerning the complaint about beta testing with Titans: I don't know how many beta testers you know but I only know Rob from this forum and yes, he has a Titan, but I think we can presume LM has more beta testers than Rob... so concluding that LM only tests with Titans is a bit odd, isn't it? Concerning VRAM: although performance sometimes struggles heavily on my PC, I do't see it drop severely in clouds (using ASN since a few days) and I have a GTX780 with 6 GB. I have to add I use very high settings. At the same time I have to say that I haven't checked it much but when I did, the VRAM usage was well below 3 GB (I run at 1920x1080) so I doubt if more VRAM will solve cloud problems some are reporting. Yesterday I was flying through heavy weather, overcast skies, fog all around, and performance was well all the way. If it dropped, it dropped in places where it would also drop on a sunny day (big cities). I don't use NI btw.

Spirit FRAPS analysed with FRAFS (graph removed) Hello Spirit, thanks a lot, unfortunately I cannot understand what the graph is supposed to tell about stutters. Could you gently explain? Thanks. August 27, 201411 yr Hello Spirit, thanks a lot, unfortunately I cannot understand what the graph is supposed to tell about stutters. Could you gently explain? Thanks. I guess the best is to read this explanation. http://www.vortez.net/articles_pages/frame_time_analysis,1.html It's about (micro) stutters and the importance to know about the frame time. Spirit
