September 4, 201411 yr Hi guys, as I´m more and more into flying military jets (mostly the VRS Superbug) I get the feeling that my old trusty Saitek Cyborg X jostick (together with the ruder pedals its´s pretty nice) is just about to not fit my needs for HOTAS with the F/A-18. But I have the question whether it is possible to have the stick combo configured aircraft spefific, e.g. buttons mapped for the F/A-18 or the 737/777. Is that possible or do I have to reconfigure everything everytime I change the plane? That would be a pain in the &@($*. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
September 4, 201411 yr Hi Steffen, Sure, the best thing to do when you get a Warty is to ditch the software it comes with, it's overcomplicated and unnecessary. A far better approach is to assign all the slider settings VIA FSUIPC and the buttons through LINDA, both freeware (donationware). Check out my little video on YT, it may be of some help to you. Yes, you can assign any of the buttons or switches to any aircraft  http://youtu.be/P-4SKr41mLM HowardMSI Mag B650 Tomahawk MB, Ryzen7-7800X3D CPU@5ghz, Arctic AIO II 360 cooler, Nvidia RTX4090 GPU, 32gb DDR5@6000Mhz, SSD/2Tb+SSD/500Gb+OS, Corsair 1000W PSU, LG Ultragear 48"4K, MFG Crosswinds, TQ6 Throttle, Fulcrum One YokeMy FlightSim YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@skyhigh776

September 4, 201411 yr Can you just purchase the throttle to the Warthog and use with a yoke? Or do the joystick and throttle have to remain together? Great vid Rocklife!
September 4, 201411 yr Can you just purchase the throttle to the Warthog and use with a yoke? Or do the joystick and throttle have to remain together? I don't think that you can buy them separately, but you can certainly use them separately, I do. I use the throttle for FSX with my Saitek Yoke works fine, in fact the only downside is the Warthog makes the Saitek Yoke seem cheap and plastic, i wish they did a Warthog Yoke. I will use the Joystick (which also feels fantastic) with the FSL A320 or Aerosoft Airbus, whichever arrives first. Ian R Tyldesley

I was thinking about purchasing a force feed back yoke. But then started thinking well I need a decent throttle. And when I started looking I was turned off by the prices out there. Spending thousands of dollars on hardware doesn't seem to be in my future. But I will keep the warthog in mind.
September 4, 201411 yr You can buy the stick separately not sure about the throttle http://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=9SIA0PG14J3777 | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

September 4, 201411 yr Rockliffe, in your video you mention having problems using the Saitek combat pedals for braking. Mine were also acting funny until I found that I had to tick the 'reverse axis' button in the control UI. They work perfectly now.
September 4, 201411 yr I bought the Warthog joystick and throttle for DCS, but I also use for FSX with FSUIPC on planes that it's appropriate for. I love it, but you can run into some trickiness assigning things because of the stay-in-place nature of the switches, especially the 3 position switches. Fortunately FSUIPC provides the ability to not only assign a function to a button when it is pressed, but also a function for when it is released. You'll definitely want FSUIPC, but then I would say that for everybody, Warthog joystick or not!

Reverse axis and everything is ok. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
