Aerosoft Airbus Extended P3D 2.3 Native Installer?

Featured Replies

Hey guys looking to upgrade from my twin otter to the airbus, does it have a 2.3 native installer, if not, do you guys know if they are working on upgrading it to have one, and if not, does the current installer work just fine under 2.3 and, if not, are there work arounds?

...I think that about covers it!

It's not 2.3 compatible. Aerosoft is working on a new version: first the (all new) A318/319 will be released and after that they will release the new A320/321. If you own the AXE you can get it for a reduced price.

Right now the AXE can only be installed (afaik) using EMT (which I would never use).

Agree with Jeroen, I would never use the AXE...O sorry EMT :P

Great thanks guys! I'll be going for the A318/319 then since it's a little smaller than the 320 right? which would be a perfect step up from my typical otter flying.  Do they have a release date for that guy?

hawkeye,

Everyone's mileage varies, but Airbus X installs correctly with EMT. If you don't want to use EMT, have a look at this thread:

Jeroen is correct about next generation Airbus X. Aerosoft claims they will be P3D 2 compatible.

I am not sure why some say you need EMT. I have been running the AXE for MONTHS V2.2 and V2.3 without doing anything special. I simply installed it. Also. They have one small file that you replace after installation on their forum and I have not had any issues at all. Not one.

i installed the airbus x with the migration tool as well and it still does give you the option to install fsx or p3d, use the migration tool and choose p3d and the plane works fine, everything i have installed works fine with the migration tool.

also there is a development version of the migration tool to install the pmdg 737 into p3d, everything works great

I wouldn't post that here because that's illegal...

Exists with Version 1.16 installer for FSX and Prepar3D V1X.
If you change the installation path where this P3DV2, you have it working in P3D 2.2 or 2.3.
Works wonderfully well and despite being complex aircraft has a graphics performance (FPS) very good, he surprises, it seems that He was born to P3D V2X.

Agreed with you Joao. I just happened to reinstall the AXE yesterday by using the installer and pointing it to my P3D (v2.3) directory.

No EMT and works like a charm.

Cheers.

would be grateful if if you could post a link to the "one small file".  I also have this installed in 2.3 with no problems, enjoying it very much.

Not sure if I can post a link to it. It is on the official support forums for the Airbus at the Aerosoft site. All you have to do is log in, go to that part of the forums and it should be pinned on the very top. It is a fix for peoples asc.dll? Something to do with switching between fullscreen-windowed and has to do with sound I think. All I know is that it is a simple replace and good to go file.

Having to use EMT is not correct, as it works fine with no issues in P3Dv2.3, 2.2

You don't 'have' to use the migration tool. It just does automatically, what you would otherwise have to do manually.
