It's a dead link indeed until you login to that forum. ^_^

BTW After that topic was closed I posted elsewhere on the REX forum that I think it's not a REX only problem but a P3D problem. In the end the REX dev said that whatever the problem was, they fixed it. But obviously I'd rather have LM fix it because if I want that REX fix for this, I'll have to buy REX4 ONLY for this (because I don't need it for anything else) and that's a bit too much.

..... Might install there water now :), left it out upto now ;)

Sure? I bet sooner or later you'll buy REX4 too because it's not only about clouds. There's much more.

Afaik the fix will be released with their next update (number 2 or something like that). So installing the wave animation right now won't help (if you actually have the same problem).

Yeah, probably, but I am spending too much money on P3D right now already so I am justifying myself to NOT buy it.  ^_^

You do need to buy it J, and then you will kick yourself for holding of.

Different clouds, different sky colours every time you fly to match the days real world weather reports.  :Big Grin:

That's why I bought it also. You rarely see the same cloud types, assuming you are not in an area of the world where the weather doesn't change for 6 months at a time. The REX 4 textures and ASN work beautifully together in P3d.

  • 3 weeks later...

Just tried today and can confirm water screw-up with Rex4, however it looks normal with the default textures.

So for now, installing REX4 into P3D V2 = No no.
