Having installed the freeware Cirrus, I discover that there is an EXE file (called cirrusconf.exe) inside the aircraft folder. I can't find any reference to this in the docs- so does anybody know what it is for. I don't like executing EXE files that I don't know what they are for.Regards Barry

Hi Barry, That is the Cirrus Configurator, used to compute weight, nosewheel sterring, etc... I only have a couple of quirks with otherwise excellent freeware release. For one, at least for me, the extending/retracting the flaps cause quite violent pitching oscillations. I'd be surprised if the real plane was like this. Also, if anyone would be willing to do a repaint wiht an American N number, I would be quite happy :)

It is a wonderful, wonderful airplane. I almost bought one myself. Lightyears ahead of my Cherokee 180, 50 knots faster, oh... the list goes on and on.Thomas
